I wish I could give this restaurant a better rating but the 3% kitchen admin fee on top of all the food and beverage just left a horrible taste in my mouth.... apparently this is noted in small text at the bottom of the menu....More

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Boston. The menu does change seasonally, but every dish I have had was off the chart. Their crudo and crostini are perfect little bites to start off the meal. The pastas have well balanced flavors. Each dish...More

Bar Mezzana is a sleek new Italian restaurant in the Ink Block district. We started with a plate of prosciutto and mozzarella cheese. The prosciutto was very thinly sliced and very high quality. The mozzarella was made in their kitchen. My main course, chicken under...More

Nicely done contemporary space a bit loud but one could still converse. My Mediterranean Sea bass crudo was superb and the eggplant crostini with honey, goat cheese and chili was also excellent. The beet, walnut and arugula ravioli was good but a little heavier than...More

I had brunch at Bar Mezzana recently and its the perfect place for girls to get together, its sleek, its trendy, its pretty, and the food was really really good. We ordered prosecco to match our brunch dishes, loved the entire experience.

We stopped here for a mid-afternoon cocktail. Very chic place, friendly staff. The cocktails were refreshing and tasty. The Mezzana Spritz was really good. There wasn’t a large menu as it was between Sunday brunch and dinner, but it looked interesting.

Bar Mezzana is in an area of Boston experiencing a resurgence. We had a wonderful dining experience with family, and would highly recommend this restaurant. We were quickly seated at a table for 4 - we did have a reservation, and while crowded, we could...More

I came here at the recommendation of a client and was not disappointed. The pasta is perfect and beautifully created. While the pasta menu may seem small the variety is perfect. The lamb ragu with fettuccini was classic and excellent. They compliment that with a...More

At the outset let me say that the food on the limited menu is delicious, the service is slow (on the Monday night I was there) and the decor is lovely with comfortable seating. And, the couple that own the restaurant have a great pedigree...More

A coastal Italian restaurant by Chef Colin Lynch located in Boston's South End neighborhood, Bar Mezzana's menu highlights the simplicity and beauty of regional Italian cooking. In addition to a selection of handmade pastas- there is a separate daily crudo menu, sections of the menu dedicated to both sliced -to--order Prosciutto di Parma, and a variety of seasonal crostini, as well as seasonal entrees. The beverage program showcases Italian wines thoughtfully selected to pair with Chef Colin's food and includes both widely- loved varietals from all over Italy and lesser known (but equally enjoyable) discoveries. The selection of draft and bottled beers, as well as Beverage Director Ryan Lotz's cocktail list, display a similar synergy with the food and feature celebrated Italian cocktails including a perfect Negroni, in addition to the classics.
