We were in Boston celebrating my birthday and had reservations to dine here on a Saturday night. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and were pleasantly surprised when they offered us a glass of champaign since our reservation time wasn't met. We decided to do the chef selection for dinner with the wine pairing and it was AMAZING! We loved... More

We managed to get a table at Menton during our visit to Boston last month and was very happy with the service, the food was top notch and although not cheap it was very good quality / service. Would also recommend the wine pairing which is always a good way to discover new wines. Would definitely return if and when... More

We had dinner with four of us, one of which was celebrating a birthday. Menton printed a menu just for us, shouting our a Happy Birthday for the b-day girl, and came out with a special dessert for her as well. I think the icing on the cake was a tour of the kitchen after dessert (granted, it was late... More

Occasionally my wife and I like to go to a very nice restaurant for a long lunch (think Michelin starred restaurants in Europe). I found Menton on line, and it was excellent. Not busy on a weekday, great wine, small servings of excellent dishes. Highly recommended for a long leisurely (not cheap) lunch.

During our visit in Boston we were looking for a very good restaurant for our anniversary. We fount the Menton and we're not disappointed at all. Perfect service and wonderful food. The wine selection was also very good but we were not able to find a good Pinot noir but the sommelier was so kind and did let us try... More

Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Our servers and the sommelier were excellent. The food however did not meet my expectations.... I am a huge fan of B.Lynch's ventures all around town and was excited to try this fine dining spot, but looking back - a bowl of Sportello bolognese would have been better.

To celebrate our anniversary, my husband and I chose to spend it with Menton. The service and atmosphere were top-notch making this one of the more unique dining experiences we've had in Boston. We went with the a la carte option and I chose the autumn squash, monkfish & shrimp and tagliatelle. I greatly enjoyed all of the options -... More

I took a friend here for lunch on her birthday. The foie gras was artistic and delicious. I highly recommend the Hake fish that I got: over a warm creamy boulibaise sauce, the outside was crisp as if it had been hand torched, and there was a long crispy wafer cracker suspended above by the bowl with generous dollops of... Slightly strange location and no real views to speak of. Quite a minimalist feel to the place. Staff very personable and professional. Food however was disappointing for such a restaurant. We found no wow factor with any of the dishes. It seems to be frequented by lawyers or city types. Duck was chewy and sinewy which surprised me as the... More

Great sounding, expensive "small food" menu somewhat lacks execution but not self-importance. Food is very good, just not great. Chef has some good ideas that appear to have difficulty translating into their dishes. Attentive service is exceptional. Great wine selection. White tablecloth, dressed up atmosphere.

Description
Menton, Chef Barbara Lynch's Fort Point fine dining restaurant, is the final concept to complete her Fort Point trifecta and joins neighbors Sportello and Drink. Located in FP3, the AIA award-winning luxury condominium complex, Menton radiates an understated elegance and offers several beautiful spaces to dine including the 60-seat dining room, a 12-seat Chef's Table, and the 45-seat private dining room. The restaurant, a glamorous expression of fine dining, was designed by Cheryl and Jeffrey Katz of C&J Katz and features a subtle palette of grays with touches of silver and black. The cuisine of Menton displays the talent for precision and visual artistry across two seasonal tasting menus and a la carte selections for dinner daily, and a more casual a la carte menu for lunch Monday - Friday.

The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water.
