Beyond your normal breakfast fare and across the Boston commons. Creative stuff like chia pudding and the like. Small but easy to share tables.

Very European kind coffee/breakfast place. Loved their salmon, tomato, spinach bagel for breakfast, and ham and cheese, egg muffins too. Super cool place to visit

Great little place for breakfast, popular but service quick and enough tables/ chairs. Great coffee, amazing breakfast burrito and muffin. Tempted to go back tomorrow! Doesn't have WiFi but that's because they want to encourage people to sit and chat rather than look at their phones !

This place is great for a quick coffee stop or as a cozy escape from the cold. We went here twice on our visit in March. Each time we were not disappointed. The coffee was delicious, baked goods were warm and filling, and the service was great.

Every time I visit a different city I try to find a great coffee shop. The Thinking Cup did not disappoint. Delightful breakfast croissant. Everything about it was terrific. Bacon was perfectly cooked as were the eggs. The white cheddar was just the right cheese. The coffee was hot and strong and delicious. I came here three days in a... More

This coffee shop is right across from Boston Common and they serve Stumptown coffee which is from Seattle and difficult to get on the East Coast. Had a delicious Cortado!

Had breakfast at the Thinking Cup twice during a visit to Boston. Steel cut oats, Hazelnut lattes, quiche and macaroons (gluten free) are delicious. Many toppings available for oats and different macaroon flavors. Seating is very limited, but ok if you are willing to wait for a table.

This was a small little breakfast place. Our food was great, the staff was friendly. The only issue was the tables are super small and if you go with 4 people it may be harder to find a spot. Overall enjoyed this place!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
