My husband and I were looking for a place to eat and enjoy a few drinks, but we weren't overly hungry. We thought tapas would be a fun idea. I searched for our options in the area and found Tico. This place is amazing. Every single staff person greeted us with a smile. It was very busy but we were... More

Went to Ticos for dinner and for lunch. Seemed to be similarly priced menu for both lunch and dinner. I had shrimp tacos both times and thought they were very good. We had guacamole and chips for an appetizer which came with three small bowls of different guacamole but the waitress never told us what each one was. Nice wines... More

We went on a weeknight so it may be different than a weekend experience, but the staff was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. LOVED every single small plate and we had the blood orange margs! Can't wait to go back

It's a great place to go and have a few drinks with good food and a great ambiance. Try the small plates, you are not going to go wrong.

I wanted to love this place because it was referred to us by a friend. Upon entering the Boston eatery, the ambiance and the menu all seemed to point to a thumbs up experience. Even the cocktail menu had an enticing Maple Syrup Margarita that managed to prevent me from ordering my usual glass of wine before dinner . That's... More

Tico is relatively informal and in a great location for many nearby businesses. They take reservations, which works well for lunch on a Friday. I think the chicken ceasar salad is excellent; other good choices include the Cuban and the burgers.

I liked this place. First off, the service was excellent. We had a very attentive and nice waiter. I liked the small dishes and they were all tasty. By far, the best thing on the menu as far as my party of 4 was concerned, was the Burger! Everything we had was good, the Fried Cheese, Broiled Cauliflower, Fried Chicken... More

I met up with some friends at Tico's, and we decided to order a few appetizers to share. Chips, salsa, guacamole, quesadillas, fried cheese... fairly standard Mexican snack food. I was disappointed with the quality of food. I wouldnt go back.

Dirty martini, dirty ice and a glass of water times 2. I'd go back again and again. The dirty ice was almost as good as the martini. Should have gotten the name of the bartender. Didn't try the food but heard it was great.

We enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Tacos are very good. Order came with two and was plenty for lunch. Nice duo guitar player and singer on Saturday afternoon. My husband had the fried chicken and it was tender and very nicely done. Big portion.

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
