Our first trip to Boston and found Maria's Pastry shop along our route. We purchased an arrangement of cannoli's. My first time tasting a cannoli. Sweet and delicious. We went to another famous bakery close by to do our taste test of their Cannoli. Maria's Pastry shop is far superior. Very glad we had a chance to visit!

This pastry shop was very quiet when we went in, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the cookies I bought there were AMAZING. The girl who helped us was very nice.

By far the best cannoli I have ever had, no fancy fillings just real, traditional, and authentic. Skip the hype shops and find your way to this gem.

We've been going to Maria's Pastry Shop for years and it never disappoints! If you want a truly fresh cannoli made to order head to Maria's! Their cookies and lobster tails can't be beat either and there's no hassle with long lines! Enjoy!!!

We were meeting family in Boston to celebrate two milestone birthdays. We had dinner reservations at a restaurant in the North End. I called Maria's Pastry Shop the week before and ordered a Napoleon for 20 people and asked for it to be delivered to the restaurant. Everything went off without a hitch that night and it was the most... More

The cannoli was actually better than Mike's cannoli, but with less wait time. Mike's is very good with lots of variety but head to head this one is better. Maria's has it going on.

The cannolis are as good as Mikes pastry! The line is not as long as the line at Mikes (a lot of hype). Seemed to be a very small kitchen area. The young lady who waited on us was very pleasant and made the visit enjoyable. I would go here again for good cannolis !

I have never really liked cannoli's before. They were always too sweet. Of course all of the ones I have had were from Italian bakeries and restaurants in the south. So I was hesitate to try one, but my husband convinced me. He ordered the chocolate dipped with ricotta filling. Holy cannoli it was good! We will be back tomorrow... More

Stopped in and met the folks there. Have been to the "other" pastry shops and the line and was as big as the hype. True Italian pastry shop. A gem. Go now!

Look past the armies of tourists equipped with Mike's pastry boxes in a widespread propaganda coup. Maria's is the real deal and definitely has the best pastries in the city. Everytime I visited a local would be buying theirs and there was a local buzz to the store. The staff were super friendly and helpful in explaining all the different... More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
