Stopped in on this restaurant while doing a big walk around Boston and Chinatown, only place that seemed to have people inside at 2.30pm, seemed to be mostly locals and a few travellers resting their feet. restaurant has a large interior and comfy seating. Food is pretty good, i had a few small dishes to get me filled up and... More

When visiting Boston the first night getting off the plane, our party decided to take the MTBA and get off at Chinatown to check out that area first. My kids was complaining about late dinner and they would not wait for my research before choosing this restaurant once getting off the train. That turned out to be a mistake. This... More

Soups and vermicelli dishes are a bit bland. Generous on vegetables and very reasonably priced. Quick service, good for a filling but uneventful meal.

This Pho is relatively less delicious than the nearby Pho Pasteur. Its taste is a bit sweeter for the soup and the quality of the beef is lower than the one at Pho Pasteur. For Vietnamese coffee I found the one at Pho pasteur is better with more balanced taste and stronger taste of coffee which is key to the... More

Average pho place. It doesn't have lime, which is a little ridiculous for a Vietnamese restaurant. Other than that, an average place for dinner. They offer small pho sizes, which is great.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy carrot beef stew, grilled lemon grass pork, or beef with noodles, pho hoa is the place! Located in Chinatown, expect to wait for a table--- but it's worth it!

It's ok, but by no means the greatest Vietnamese I've been to. Had the hot and sour veggie soup, waaay too much celery, way too sugary. My friend had the veggie pad thai, he said it was good.

Want a meal that will stick with you all day? A bowl of pho soup will do the trick. Quick, yummy and reasonably priced, the beef pho soup will keep you going until evening.

This place is not fancy, but its popular because of the quality and authenticity of the food. Pretty basic cafe style - friendly service - very well cooked dishes - presentation of the food though not a strong point :-)

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
A small area rich in Chinese cultural influences, visit Boston’s Chinatown for some great Asian cuisine and small, authentic bakeries. Enter through the iconic Chinatown gate and stroll down Beach, Tyler, and Kneeland streets to explore the compact area. Rest your feet from walking and grab a bite at one of the many restaurants around Chinatown. From traditional Chinese to Vietnamese to Malaysian, there is a wide range of Asian food available, within easy access of South Station. At night, Chinatown becomes a late night food destination after the bars close.
