Having been to Salty before I enjoyed he restaurant. Sadly, we took pizzas out and by the time I got them home it was not good. However, I will say the Pizza was hot and steamy when I picked it up. I like the pizza in house but I think I should have gotten the charcuteri instead.

We ate here for lunch on a Saturday. Choices at that time were four types of Charcuterie boards, pizza, and salads. Two of the four in our group have celiac disease and, while there were no stated gluten free options, a lot of salads and charcuterie are naturally gf and they provided gf crackers instead of the bread. I would... More

Late dinners aren't easy to find in Boston and we usually eat after 8. We found The Salty Pig when looking for pizza close to our hotel. The menu is limited for a full dinner but the abundance of selections of charcuterie, cheeses, appetizers and pizzas more than complement the dinner selections. Everything is freshly prepared, superior quality and beautifully... More

A very busy buzzy bar with a great atmosphere. The food was so good and tasty, the wine very nice and a huge variety, as were the craft beers. The cheese board and charcuterie boards were fantastic I think we had three! Cant wait to go back.

The Salty Pig was a great choice for an early casual dinner on the Boston Marathon weekend. You could feel the excitement building for the marathon as runners were out in force meeting up with friends for a meal in this neighbourhood charcuterie. The roasted bone marrow with spaghetti squash was absolutely delicious as were the roasted sweet potatoes. The... More

I just had one of the best lunches ever at The Salty Pig. We started with the Chef's Selection cheese board. I also asked for some brie and dig jam which aren't in the lunch menu but our waitress was so sweet she got it for us. We both wanted pizza so they accommodated us but letting us do half... More

Great place for trendy millenials as there were loads of them here during a mid-week. They serve craft beer and the menu is designed more for appetizers or plate sharing than I would say as a sit down restaurant. I enjoyed it for a change and all I had was their local charcuterie ham which was delicious but for me,... More

Great food, great atmosphere. The 'salted pig & stinky cheese' selections were excellent. Apparently the place is also popular with the non-pork crowd: our neighbors on both sides opted for vegetarian fare and seemed to enjoy it. Good wine selection, friendly service.

Loved it the first time, definitely plan on being back soon! The charcuterie board was spot on but, I will probably skip the Salty Pig sandwich on the return.

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
