I usually am not a fan of chain restaurants but I have to say we had an awesome! Dinner. I took my 16 yo daughter and we loved every bit. We had a pick your own bruschetta and both that we chose were honestly amazing. I had the braised beef pasta and my daughter had a pasta primavera. Both were... More

We were spending a snowy weekend in town and decided to try here since it was close to the hotel. We ended up sitting at the bar since there was over a 2 hour wait if you didn't have a reservation. The bartender was very nice and treated us very well. He promptly took our drink order and then presented... More

This place is exceptional. Great service, lovely atmosphere and by comparison with many other Boston eateries not over-priced. The common agreement of all six of us who visited for an evening meal is that we would revisit this place on any future Boston trip. The fish dishes were good but the specialty pastas were exceptional. The Chef's Country Style Pasta... More

Exciting, big city Chicagoish feel to this bustling restaurant. Well located within walking distance of Boston's theatre district with several parking lots adjacent. Very attentive and friendly service. But…the food was mediocre. The veal marsalla, which both my wife and I had, was adequately tasty but the veal was quite tough, ruining the dish.

Visited for dinner & seemed staff were more interested in following the football on the screen in the bar than attending to customers. There was much scurrying to & fro even though restaurant not at all busy. Our waiter left for the evening after taking our initial order & we had to get the attn of someone else passing to... More

We arrived at 5:30 on a reservation. We wanted enough time before heading over to the Boston Opera House. Restaurant wasn't too busy at this time but when we left around 7pm, it was busy and full! This was our first experience there, and they even brought us over a free appetizer for our first visit. They were a type... More

We had an excellent dinner at Maggiano's! My husband had the spaghetti with meatball, and I had papperdelle. Both were so good! The service was wonderful...we were treated as if we were the most important patrons there.

My college-student son loves Italian and the location is close to Emerson College. My eggplant Parm was very good. His Fettucine Alfredo was a very generous portion but the chicken was dry. Our server was very good and asked if we were on a schedule. We needed to get to a movie, so she made sure we got our food... More

I think this place is more of a dinner joint as it was dead quiet at lunch or maybe it was the 5 inches of snow that had just fell? The food was really good and great value. I liked the place, staff were great. I'd recommend it for a good honest meal.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
