Food was excellent and made fresh, good service, dining space was a bit cramped, but overall a decent place for business dinner.

My wife and I purchased tickets to the Boston Ballet performance of The Nutcracker at The Opera House and wanted to dine beforehand. We had seen Teatro on our visits to Boston Common and had wanted to try it. We made reservations through OpenTable.com for 5:00 PM so we would have time for a leisurely meal prior to the 7:30... Great food, great service, great location for a night out for a movie or show! It is a little cramped/crowded of you are interested in a more intimate date/meeting.

The restaurant has a great location and great atmosphear . I had a very good pasta, but the polenta wasn't good, it was chunky.

My husband and I enjoyed a romantic dinner at Teatro that was the culinary high point of our trip to Boston. My entree, Wild Mushroom Risotto, was simply out of this world. I confess to bring a bit of a risotto snob, and have never eaten one more satisfying and memorable than this dish. Teatro must have an amazing mushroom... More

Given the high Trip Advisor rating we tried here for a light dinner. It's a good thing we weren't hungry, since despite not ordering much the portions were still heavy and prices expensive. The building is gorgeous, so it was an inviting atmosphere. We ordered drinks which were very nice, though on the pricy side (which is fine since they... More

Really good food. We had a pizza, nice and thin and fresh. The bread they brought out was also good along with the chickpea dip. Everyone enjoyed their pasta dishes. Sangria tasted a bit watered down, though. Dessert also good.

The six adults had reservations at this trendy Italian restaurant. Our table was ready when we arrived. The place was full and boisterous. We were still able to hear table conversation. Some had appetizers (flatbread and calamari). While the rest of us shared a bottle of wine! Their home-made pasta looked good. (They didn't have a gluten-free pasta so I... More

This is a great Italian food place for dinner . Our friends invited my wife & I and I liked everything from my salad to the end. The place has a younger crowd and it is right in the middle of Boston. Parking is an issue but the T stops nearby. I recommend the Beet salad and the muscles and... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel as a place to eat at after a concert. We received great service from the moment we walked in, and the food was terrific. I started with the burrata and moved on to the night's special of spaghetti carbonara, which was made according to the classic recipe. Delicious! My husband had a good... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
