After 8 hours at the Museum of Fine Arts, we were starving. Took the subway back to near our Airbnb in the Back Bay section of town and used our phone to "find nearest Italian restaurant." It pointed us to Piattini!!! We walked in without a reservation and we're told they could fit us in at the bar. Didn't care,... More

Thank you to Piattini for taking reservations the night before the marathon. With 81 year old grandparents joining us, we needed to have a reservation. Waiter was friendly and helpful, food was delicious although our marathon runner could have used more pasta. She ate from my entrée! Crab cakes were heavenly. The chocolate mousse is very chocolatey - share it.... More

We have visited this italian restaurant in one of mondays. It was a sunny day it was a great experience to sit their outdoor space. About their meals, we took one margerita pizza and a pizza with arabiatta souce. The pizza was good but the pasta was delicious. Definitely recommended!

Look no further than Piattini, atmosphere and delicious sauce. Appetizers are innovative and scrumptious. Service could a little better (slow) but overall worth the wait!

This mid-Newbury Street cafe has a cozy atmosphere in a smallish dining room. I've titled this review as a mixed bag because the two other people I dined with loved everything about their experience. The authentic food, the attentive service, the cadence of the evening. My entree was the downfall. I ordered the risotto scallop dish which was marked as... More

Had dinner here with friends. The food was really good. The service was great. We liked the small plates and that gave us the option to share.

Small but not overly so. Good food at a reasonable price for the upscale neighborhood. Consistent service and quality over several years.

So happy we stumbled onto this charming restaurant on Newbury Street. I can't say the outside look enticed me to come in, but we were cold and hungry and the menu appealed to us. We really enjoyed our simple lunch - meatball panini and a proscuitto, arugula, goat cheese and fig flatbread. There was a very nice selection of wines... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
