Joe's has a fun vibe. It is on the louder side, though, and was super busy on the Saturday afternoon we were there. We waited 30 minutes for our table, and it was worth it! We sat in the enclosed area by the sidewalk, on the first floor, which is also where the bar is located. Most of the seating... More

Joe's was great. We had a large group, 9 people, and went for dinner before going out for a bachelorette weekend. The food was good and reasonably priced. They split our checks for us without us even needing to ask, which was awesome! They also knew it was our friend's bachelorette so they had a special champagne treat for her,... More

Some friends and I meet about 4 times per year in Boston for a medical meeting. We have lunch here every time....for years....in the same corner booth...for years. Food is always quite good and the recommended offerings have always been spot on. The best part of the meal is usually the EXCELLENT servers. Yesterday was no exception. Ali was outstanding.... The menu here is diverse. The food was cooked very well. The cocktails were delightful. The beverages were also very good. Service was quick and timely.

A really nice diner with an easy and relaxing atmosphere. The burgers are called different than the usual cheeseburger etc. but are very delicious! Can recommend

The steak frites were so greasy and tasted horrible. My husband ordered lobster roll that tasted awful as well. And then there is the cheesecake, another disappointment, crust being stale/old. And for appetizers, we ordered nachos with chili but instead was served chicken nachos. They brought us a cup of chili when we almost finished the nachos. The bill was... More

As we were making our way down Newbury Street back to our hotel, the previously blue sky darkened and the rain began to spatter. On the look out for somewhere to shelter, we chose this restaurant to dive into. Initially we were only going to have a drink but having looked at the menu we decided to eat. Great decision.... Not the first and not the last time we come here, the food is always great and so is the service. This time Brian S was our waiter, by far the best service we have gotten in Boston on this trip. Hat off for being extra pleasant, the food could have been awful (it wasn't, it was great) and it... More

Nice place with fast service. Our waitress was friendly and very fast. Our meal was hot and not along wait. The portions were huge and the prices were reasonable.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
