We went for drinks around 4:00 one afternoon. When we arrived the tables were empty but were told we could only stand at the bar between the two televisions. Not sure what was going on, but we wanted to sit and spend some time there enjoying our drinks, but were unable to do so.

If you want a "birds-eye" view of Boston from the top of the Prudential tower is is a definite "must". Especially at sunset. Food is a bit above "average" but it's worth a visit just for the panoramic view of Boston. Absolutely need reservations.

This really a nice place for couples to dine. Very relaxing and the services were excellent. You need reservation for this place but they could still accommodate you if it wasn't a busy time of the day. A great place for family too. I loved it. I felt on top of the world. The price for their food is so... More

Our family decided to celebrate Easter here. I had never been to the Top of the Hub before, but based on some reviews I read I expected a fabulous view and mediocre food. The view was fabulous and the food much better than I thought it would be. There was a prix fixed menu for Easter, both for adults and... More

First - the view was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous view of the entire city and beyond. The food was excellent - I had the filet that was cooked just perfect. Service was excellent as well. Yes just a bit pricy - but well worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

As a special treat for my husband I made reservations for his birthday. Little did I know the treat was all mine. I'm embarrassed to admit the last time I dined here I was barely old enough to drive. The world has changed a lot since then, but the spectacular view from your table from this restaurant never gets old... More

I only recommend to go during sunset to have a drink at the bar and see the beautiful views of the city. It's a Tourist trap with very high and pricing and just OK food. Also if you dressed in jeans and sneakers and you don't look appropriate, The front door gate keepers will make up some excuse to not... More

View from restaurant is very pretty after dark. But the restaurant is not romantic, very noisy and even though they clearly state a business casual dress code we saw several people wearing jeans and tshirts. Main dish was good, bread at start was cold and clam chowder soup was not hot enoug. Waiter was really nice and very informative. He... More

Had family in from out of town, wanted to visit Boston. Went to the Top of the Hub to listen to jazz and have drinks and a bite to eat. Atmosphere is amazing, great view of Boston and the jazz was very good also. Service was great, server very accomodating and let us move closer to windows when another party... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
