You'll probably have to line up but its worth the wait. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to...and I've been to many many. I agree with other commenters that it feels a bit rushed but just know that going in and don't expect to have a long leisurely meal. That's all. Just go in and have... More

There was a line at 345. Everything is fresh nice nice place our meal no drinks was $47. I did feel a little rushed and the place is tiny. You will be in and out do not expect to spend hours in this restaurant.

Our best meal in Boston. Knew we had to queue as per info on tripadvisor and internet, but it didn't take long and the fact Bostonian's eat here was taken as a good sign. Atmospheric, cosy, intimate and fantastic food, this is an experience not to be missed. Lots of wine available for 20 dollars a bottle, and when the... More

We had some great food in Boston, but Giacomo's was one of the best! Amazing food! The service was good, we did have to wait to get seated. But, upon checking in and being told it would be 90 minutes, the line moved fast and the wait was less than 30 minutes. The dining room is small, but totally worth... More

A little intimidated by the wait, but it is absolutely worth it! After an hour and a half in 40-50 degrees, the food was SO good!! Dina was so nice and helpful as we figured out the menu options. Good luck picking something to eat, because there are so many choices, but you can't go wrong - it's all good!... More

Visited on a recent Friday night. Decided to give it a try as there is always a line and it was not too long. Three of us shared the burrata appetizer special. Delicious creamy cheese with chopped tomatoes & basil. Crusty, baked to perfection Italian bread(waitress said it came from bakery in Cambridge). Our dinners were amazing: linguine with mussels,... Hole in the wall, small, packed-in, always busy, always a line - for a reason! Been going here for years. Consistently very good food. It's not gourmet, it's not over the top. It's Italian comfort food and it's very good. I've been ordering the same thing forever now b/c it's so good - shrimp and scallop fra diavolo and/or pumpkin... More

This place is amazing. Food is so good! Best italian food in Massachusetts. Love the lobster fusilli with Giacomo sauce.

I never knew what the fuss was about Giacomo's. Always see a line at the front door but with so many options, it was hard to justify the wait. No reservations and CASH only. My wife and I were recently in the North End for an early dinner and there were only 2 people in line, so we stopped. We... More

For the last several years when we make a trip to the north and there is always a line outside this restaurant. So I figured it's got to be great. We finally made it this time mid afternoon with only two couples in front of us outside waiting.we got inside after about waiting 15 minutes. And only seats about 30-35... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
