We were in Italy last summer. When we went to Pellino's we almost felt that we had been mysteriously transported back to a small, romantic spot we had found in Rome, We used a Groupon and were not disappointed in any way. It was a cold winter night after a storm, but the atmosphere was warm. The food and service... More

we have been there for lunch at the end December, the place is small but nice and cozy, and the waitress was nice. i am Italian and the food was good and also a good imitation of standard italian flavours, but i presume the taste here are different to the tradition we have in our country as they have been... After wandering around aimlessly for 45 minutes, I decided on Pellinos. The restaurant was rather busy however we were seated promptly. As chicken parm isn't a dish you can find on my side of the pond, I opted for this Italian-American classic and wasn't disappointed. The pasta was al dente, the sauce was spot on and the chicken just melted... More

We came here because we had a Groupon deal. But unfortunately, the food was only average compared to the other Italian restaurant we visited in Boston. Seating is nice and intimate and service was very good, but we'll not return because of the food.

My husband and I were given a Groupon for a three course meal for two. We were first impressed by the prompt and welcoming service. The home made bread and excellent olive oil arrived immediately at the table with water. We each had a salad appetizer. Mine was a fresh mozerella and tomato salad with eggplant and it was excellent.... More

Pellino's is like one of many Italian places in the North End, solid, dependable, reasonable, with acceptable service, set in a smallish, intimate space with its requisite warmth. That said, the menu amounts to the usual collection of standards, and there doesn't seem to be any big reason to come here other than to avoid the big crowds on the... More

We were in the mood for great Italian food that we didn't need to dress up for (pre-Bruins game). After a short walk, we happened upon Pellino's. 5 people ordered 4 different dishes ranging from Chicken Piccata to the lasagna special -- all delicious. The recommended wines were also very good. Dino the waiter was excellent (even mentioning the cola... More

Our family wanted to try a new restaurant on this trip to Boston. Food here was average and pricey for the portion sizes compared to a few of our usual favorites. Waiter and others were very friendly. They did offer a homemade eggplant spread with bread/butter that was very tasty. Our appetizers of calamari and meatballs (3 small for $15)... More

My wife and I visited this small quaint, romantic Italian restaurant during a recent visit to Boston. They have a surprisingly large wine list. The house made pasta was some of the best we've had and the sauces were truly outstanding. Service was great without being intrusive. It's one of our top restaurants. Thank you Pellino's!

Went here and used a Groupon for a three coarse meal. I was worried that it wouldn't be great but I was wrong. We really enjoyed the food. The bread was delicious out of the oven. We had the eggplant app and it was delicious. We like it especially because the eggplant was not covered in bread crumbs and deep... More
