The book store is cool, but the food is average at best, and reallllly expensive for what you're getting. lots of more formal, sit down places on Newbury st. are much cheaper for brunch or lunch (and the service is better too).

Went early which worked well as there was quite a line when we left. Food excellent, reasonably priced, and delivered promptly. Enthusiastic and efficient staff. Full marks! Recommended and we will go again

Seemed like most of Boston had headed here today for lunch but despite that we were seated after a 15 minute wait (which we spent finding a book for our grand-daughter in the book shop - excellent shop). Great lunch - we both had sandwiches...More

I found the food underwhelming and the ambience itself a bit boring. Great to have the book shop which also had lovely and unusual gifts. Wouldn't rush back or particularly recommend.

I feel like it hasn't figured itself out yet. We overheard a customer ask one of the servers where a book section was and they didn't know. Personally, I feel like if you serve in a bookstore you should be familiar with the actual bookstore...More

Came here with friends the other day for brunch. The setting within a book shop is very quirky and sitting outside is delightful on a sunny day. Overall, the food was very good (we had truckers breakfasts), but I felt it could have been better...More

Think they have a couple GF options, but you should check their menu on their website. And think they're open every day at 8am.

Hello Flannery, GinnyBoston is correct. While healthcode does not allow animals on our patio, you could have your dog just on the other side of the fence on the sidewalk. -Trident Booksellers & Cafe
