Loved the music when they sang -- but all too often the plump singer yammered on incessantly about this friend or that and than the friend got up and yammered some more - They let some delightful guy sing his take on My Way -- but should have cut him off after one chorus instead of giving him six --... We like going to the Napoleon Room at the Club Cafe. We usually go to see Bill and Katie sing - they put on a great show. The larger Club Cafe is a gay bar; the Napoleon Room usually has a mixed crowd. Be sure to reserve ahead, and to ask for a seat in the main room; the side... More

A friend suggested we stop by for a drink and listen to some of the people performing... they have a guy playing the piano in an area off to the left as you enter this large place... sectioned off with a glass partition. People come up and sing mostly show tunes... great fun. They have a waitress who does a... More

To think of The Golden Girls performance that we saw as a drag show would be doing these two actors a tremendous disservice. This is a tribute show that is full of love. There is some interaction with the audience--The fourth wall is broken several times and each time with a great result. The theater is small and intimate. We... More

Went here after the theatre to get some drinks on a thursday night. Great crowd of mostly gay men, found it quite easy to talk to people. Everybody seemed friendly and open even towards a single stranger. Very friendly bartenders that served good drinks at reasonable prices. Dancefloor started filling up a little later and music was what I like... More

We attended on Sunday September 12th. The show was packed, and from the minute the audience sang the theme to Golden Girls the audience went wild!

We had brunch and then stayed for the Golden Girls show. The staff and the show were wonderful. The food at the brunch was average and not warm enough. Great desserts, fruit, and salad though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The show was very funny. "Dorothy" was fabulous!

This was a fun little gay bar around the corner from our hotel. Very easy access to many hotel in the area. This place seemed to be very busy on both Friday and Saturday nights. I would go back when I visit Boston again.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
