We had a good time. Located in downtown, easy access. Nice view of Cambridge Street. the atmosphere was lively and friendly. The service was fast and efficient. The food was good but not perfect. I had mini burgers, they looked perfect from the outside, but were undercooked and pink on the inside. I could not eat them. I like my... More

Where else would you go on St. Patrick's Day but an Irish pub. It was great, as not only a pub but a restaurant too. They tell me that the decor was shipped over from Ireland years ago and I can believe it. Real atmosphere. Considering how busy and crowded it was, we had good service and good food. There... More

Went here during the afternoon to watch a soccer match and the bar tender was happy to change the channel for us. Great vibes with a delicious drink menu, from sangria to beers. Good prices and a nice low key crowd for the afternoon.

Atmosphere and wait staff are good. Food was not great. My wife's beef stew had one potato two pieces of stringy beef in a huge bowl of gravy. The bread sucks. I would not suggest it to a friend.

Our group of four decided to stop in for Sunday Brunch, first it took us 20 minutes to be welcomed by our waitress after being seated. After ordering drinks it was another 20 minute wait for the drinks to get left to the table - both glasses had some sort of pink stain, one of which was leaking into the... More

We stopped in for brunch. The restaurant is well kept and the dining area is very large. A comfortable square bar is at one end. The tater tot appetize was very good. Our Greek salad was dry and lackluster with very little chicken. The three egg omelet seemed plain but the home fries were very good. Alcoholic drinks are pricey.... More

After a matinee the four of us had a very nice late lunch / early dinner. We ate outside to enjoy the perfect weather. The fish tacos, grilled cheese, short rib Mac and cheese were all very good, and the price was very reasonable. Service was very attentive without being obtrusive. We will definitely return!

Stopped in on my first night in Boston after checking in to my hotel. The restaurant was dead and service just ok. That said, the Guinness was poured very well and the fish and chips were delicious. I'd go back.

We got a tip from our duck-tour driver to go there after the tour as we wanted lunch and were on our way to the Science Museum. We shared a Bangers and Mash dish and it was great! The pork sausages were some of the best I've ever had and the mash had that nice caramelized onion in it and... More

When you are on your lunch hour (which most people are during the week), the service needs to be a little better than it was for us. There were five in our group (three of whom are new to the Boston working world, so my husband and I were excited to take them to a new dining place. Unfortunately, the... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
