My husband and I enjoyed a lovely early dinner at Riccardo's in the North End on Mother's Day, and the food and service was very good. My husband enjoyed sausage and broccoli rabe, and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious chicken piccata. The waitstaff was very attentive as well. Before we departed, our waiter gave me a beautiful pink... More

Riccardo's was recommended because it offered Italian food that was served similar to Sunday family dinner. The food was wonderful, flavorful, large portions and we were served quickly. Kudos to Orlando who got our food order in before the very large dinner party seated next to us. Thank goodness for the bread...no sauce was left behind.

Steps from the Paul Revere House and recommended by a City View Trolley driver, Riccardo's was a nice meal to end the day. We arrived shortly after they opened and were seated. The waitress was friendly and helped with wine and dinner selections. We both chose the Fra Diavolo served with good sized scallops and shrimp. The sauce was not... More

My wife and I found ourselves in Boston today - a beautiful, sunny day. I remembered having eaten here before and we came back. Let's begin with the ambience - charming, quiet little place with views of Paul Revere's house and the North End. The service was impeccable and the food incredible. Crusty Italian bread and olive oil, a good... More

Ok, I admit it, one of the reasons we chose this place our first night in Boston was due to the name. ( Riccardo is my husband's name) We figured it was good karma! I have no complaints about our meal. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. My friend is vegan, so of course a meatless pasta sauce... More

Nine of us (all family) had 7:15 reservations at Ricardo's on Saturday evening, April 8, 2017. Right from the start it was downhill! I was told they only had a "partial" liquor license, so they served beer, wine and cordials. When I mentioned someone with a martini, the bartender said, "we only have flavored vodka"! Made absolutely no sense to... More

They wouldn't let us use the groupon we purchased because they told us the fine print wouldn't allow it until after the holidays. The red sauce on the scallop and shrimp plate tasted like it was from a can. Also, the waiter didn't seem very kind and wreaked of smoke. Save your money, find a good recipe, and make it... More
