We dined, almost by ourselves, on a Tuesday in May. Very quiet with great service, wine and seafood. The wife had the lobster greatly prepared and presented so you only needed a fork to eat it. I had the scallops which were equally good. The wine list was fine and moderately priced. We had the Boston Crème Pie but tasted... More

Met a friend for breakfast at 9:30 am on a Saturday. We opted for this place because they took reservations. There may be better breakfast/brunch spots but they are crowded on weekends and we didn't want to wait in a line! Service here was prompt, friendly and efficient. He kept the coffee flowing, ehich was greatly appreciated! We each ordered... More

I could not handle the loud people in the Parker's restaurant. So, I found that at the time; the Parker's Bar was quieter (still louder than it should be). The other patrons were between their bouts of spastically bellowing at the television and I popped in and ordered a meal to go. The bartender was considerate and brought it to... More

We had a nice dinner at the Parker House, made famous by JFK, dinner rolls and Boston Creme Pie, which is cake btw. Francesco did a very nice job serving us. There is a nice iPad display of JFK history too in the lobby. We enjoyed beautifully cooked scallops and charcuterie board. The atmosphere is so elegant be sure not... More

We enjoyed a nice, quiet dinner at Parker's Restaurant that started with martinis and Parker House Rolls (YUM). The salads, french onion soup, and lamb were delicious! Followed by another martini and Boston Creme Pie. To top it off, we called weeks in advance to reserve the infamous table that JFK and Jackie O got engaged at. Wonderful restaurant -... More

My daughter and I enjoyed dinner here before the symphony. We were able to take advantage of the price fixe menu as a result of our early arrival. The Parkerhouse rolls were served hot out of the oven and were amazing! We both had the steak with vegetables and fingerling potatoes. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. We... More

Head to Parker's restaurant for a taste of their famous Boston Cream Pie. My family and I went at 3:00. We had tea and shared a cream pie. It was a great last stop before our journey home. Beautiful hotel and setting.

If you are in Boston, this is a must! The hotel has such a long, amazing American history. The food is wonderful, the service is impeccable and the Boston cream pie is to die for. Don't leave Boston without dining here.

I came to Parker's because I had heard a rumor they sold the best Boston creme pies in the area. When I arrived, I was instantly charmed by the old, historic vibe of the hotel, but found the Boston creme pie I ordered to be just pretty good — maybe not Boston's best. Definitely worth a try though!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
