I was there for a friends birthday party and we have a section all to ourselves. The bartender Chris was very nice and made some great drinks. We tried many of them and he made each one with care. Burlesque was my favorite. Food was also very good!

I always read TripAdvisor before choosing a restaurant, but have never felt compelled to write my own review before - however, this restaurant really fell flat for me, especially when it had been touted as one of the best brunches in Boston. We visited for Sunday brunch to celebrate my father's 60th birthday, and everything, from the food to the... More

First time at the Beehive, enjoyed it so much we tried to book for brunch a couple of days later. Unfortunately they were fully booked. We will go back soon. Relaxed atmosphere, great music, great service and good food.

The food was very good, but a few downsides to mention and why I didn't do 5 stars. They really rush you through I guess to turn over the table fast but it was very disconcerting when you meet a friend you haven't seen and want to talk and enjoy drinks and a meal. After getting our drinks and an... More

I've heard a lot about The Beehive as a great brunch restaurant, but instead went to check it out for dinner. The space is really nice and cozy, with two levels of seating which means a lot of guests have a great view of the stage if live music is being played. Of course this is downtown Boston, so it... My boyfriend is a big live music fan, so when I found this bar, I was excited. Hidden from the main road, when we walked in, the staff could not have been nicer to us "out of towners". We had already eaten, so we went right up to the bar where every seat was taken. We were very impressed though... More

Absolutely cosy. Very friendly and funny staff. Generous drinks in the bar. Food menu for sure have something for everybody. Baby pork ribs, crispy calamari for starters. Duck au poivre as main, all absolutely fantastic. Add some smooth jazz and good company and you have a great evening out.

It's busy cozy place. We have reservation for lunch but half hour earlier, can't be seated. Have decent wine list but limited craft beer selection. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Order salad with salmon which cooked perfectly, and hamburger which is nothing special. A little over price for the brunch menu but acceptable. Fun place to eat.

Had a truly delightful Brunch yesterday at The Beehive. Two words of caution--parking is awful in this area so be prepared to circle around a bit. Second, they cram a lot of people into a small space with small tables and chairs. Great live jazz with the Steve Kirby Trio, delicious food for adults and children alike and a vibe... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
