We live here and were visiting Northeastern. It was expensive for what it was. Got spicy roll Combo and all rolls tasted the same with tons of filler. Got 2 Tuna poke bowls and they were just bland and 3/4 rice. Honestly, just skip it and find somewhere else.

We've been here several times. The maki rolls are well prepared, generous and reasonable priced. There are always some nice chefs specials. The portions are very good. The wine and beer selection reasonable and good.

I am pretty much obsessed with sushi and Symphony Sushi is my absolute FAVORITE Japanese restaurant!! I've been a regular customer here for at least 10 years if not longer. The staff is always SO pleasant and prompt, never had 1 bad experience with their service. EVERY dish I've had has been absolutely remarkable. I really can't sing the praises... More

I had dinner before a concert at Jordan Hall and then we returned afterwards with family for a small after bite and drinks. The wait staff is wonderful and fast, the menu has plenty of variety for any kind of preference and the quality of the food was great. I had the Poci sushi bowl (with rice and salmon): portion... I'm a big fan of Maki, sushi and sashimi. This restaurant always has a great selection and efficient service. If you are attending a musical event nearby, plan on getting there by 5:15 or you'll have to wait.

Stumbled on this little gem. Went to a show at NEC, around the corner. Great sushi, beautiful presentation. Very reasonable with very good service.

Looking for a good sushi restaurant to go for dinner before a performance at Huntington Theater, Symphony Hall or New England Conservatory? Go to Symphony Sushi (but go early ... longer lines closer to curtain times). Lots of excellent vegetarian options. Friendly staff. Very reasonable price. We look forward to returning.

My comments are based on three lunch experiences. My advice is to only eat here if you can't get into anywhere else. The sushi focuses on non-sushi--sushi with eggs and sushi with cooked shrimp. The sea bass lunch was pathetic--thin strips of sea bass that ended up being nothing more than deep fried bread.

I can't count the times we've eaten here and even had large family dinners after recitals or concerts. The large amount of Asian diners present attests to the authenticity of the cuisine. The Bento box is my personal favorite and never disappoints while my partners loves their sushi rolls. Service is excellent and we look forward to our next visit... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
