My husband and I were looking for a new restaurant to try for our Saturday date night and chose Urban Solace. We liked the outside of the building as it reminded us of buildings down in New Orleans. We ordered 2 of their Cheese Biscuits (which come with garlic-herb butter and smoked tomato jam) and their Cheese and Charcuterie board... More

This restaurant is in a very hip neighbourhood with cool shops and young people. It reminds me restaurants back home (berlin), and is quite different from other sunny jolly places in san diego. It is quite dark and vintage on the inside, and has a very nice outside area. We visited with our twins, and had the shrimps for starters... More

My friends and I had a lovely dinner at this lovely place last night. Luke was working at the bar and just a delight to chat to. I had a lovely red, the Rickshaw California Pinot Noir - so tasty and the prices are affordable. Meals: We shared a few dishes...Tempura Avocado, Whipped Goat Cheese, Cracked Almonds, Arugula, Grapefruit, Garlic... More

The owners care deeply about where their food comes from and how it affects the world. Their care shows in the preparation, the food itself, and the warmth of the staff. On a short business conference, I made sure to dine at Urban Solace twice. All ingredients are locally sourced and some prepared exclusively for the restaurant. The prices are... More

We finally made it! Our first time to dinner out on a weekday night for the two of us. Very light crowd, so our service was stellar. I had the SeaBass, my partner had the salmon. Both Delicious - Melted in your mouth. With the biscuits as a side, our dinner was spectacular! Stephanie, our server was brilliant. I have... More

During a recent trip to San Diego, we came here for dinner based on the good rating on Trip Advisor. I ordered their grilled hanger steak in a red wine sauce. The flavor or the meat and sauce was very good, but I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was on the rare side -- much too... More

This restaurant serves food with some very unique flavors at reasonable prices. It's a fun atmosphere and the service is outstanding. Recommend the meatloaf!

My son and I stopped at Urban Solace on our way from the airport to our hotel. It was a great first stop on our trip! The duckaroni was delicious, my son's grilled cheese sandwich was memorable, too much food to eat in one meal.

Third time visiting this restaurant so I thought I would try the Hanger steak. I was not very impressed. I had to add the garlic butter to give it some flavor. I thought it would taste a lot better since it cost almost $30. My girlfriend also had the hanger stake and she stated it was better the last time... More
