Great local place with a large menu. Fast service. Had a yummy omelet and pancakes. Original historic look inside makes it a fun place to dine.

Great diner in San Diego - friendly staff - great food and good vibe. I would definitely recommend this place and best of all - it's open 24/7!!

Having read the reviews about this place we were looking forward to our visit. Sorry... but it really was a disappointment. We ordered a Tuna sandwich which came with fries. Unfortunately the fries were cold and the sandwich was mediocre. I wouldn't recommend. Pity... not an enjoyable experience for us.

It's nice to get a seat in the window and watch people going through this place, which always seems busy. Good selection on the menu and something to suit everyone, nothing fancy, just regular satisfying diner style meals. Will be dropping in there again next month.

Stopped here with the family to get some dinner. It's always a challenge with a toddler to eat out and this place was very accommodating. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. It had a nice atmosphere and a larger menu selection. Would stop by again given the opportunity.

My boyfriend and I needed to eat something really quick before we headed out to the soccer game. The food was ok but the beer was excellent.

Staff very friendly and obliging when choosing from the menu,Debbie chose the pancakes asking the waitress if she could just have one, as eight, or even the three would be too much, no problem.I had the beef hash with pancakes, it was massive, I struggled but could not get through it. Also included was the never empty coffee cups, and... More

Breakfast burritos are good but you cannot get hash browns here, only breakfast potatoes. Service was attentive. No flavored coffee creamer here.

Nice place with a charming atmosphere. Opened 24/7 which was very nice since K arrived San Diego late in the evening, but still could find something to eat and drink. It should exist more places like this.

Wish I had found this on the first day of my visit to San Diego and not the last; open 24x7, Brian's is an institution. It is increasingly difficult to find a traditional diner/restaurant in the centre of US cities but Brian's does it. I had an excellent breakfast - Huevos Rancheros which set me up for the rest of... Description
On behalf of our family and staff, we welcome you to Brian's 24! We know you have a lot of choices when deciding where to eat and we're so glad that you chose our restaurant. Aside from the big bar and even bigger food, our place has a story…all great places have a story. This story starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of their next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food any time, day or night. Having come from a family of foodies and restaurateurs, and with Brian himself having spent time in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, both Steve and Brian were ready for something fun, exciting and in the heart of their hometown. From the moment they stepped in to the restaurant off the lobby of the historic St. James Hotel, they knew they had found the spot. With its grand, hand-crafted mahogany bar (obtained from actress Joan Crawford's estate), beautiful crystal chandelier and tin ceiling, the place really had a warm feeling and a great personality. Fast-forward to today, and the family business is still going strong. After Steve's passing in 2010, the business now has more family members sharing in this labor of love, with Ida (mom), Andrea and Robin (two of Brian's four sisters) standing next to Brian at the helm. Our mission is simple - family, comfort food and anything you want, any time you want it.
