Couldn't resist temptation to try a place called "Mad Dog's". I found an ecletic menu and surmise "Mad Dog" must be a shoutout to classic album called "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" as there is a distinct English flavor to the menu (ie crumpets) and British accent of the serving staff. Fits right in with the always entertaining and ecletic atmosphere... More

Had breakfast here one morning as the line for Kono's was too long and we had a busy ahead of us. Good find, wasn't busy and were served immediately. We had the crumpets and a breakfast sandwich. Both tasty, but the prices we paid seemed to bare no relation to what was listed on the board. Was some random bloke... More

The Acai bowls are a staple of any good surfing trip, plus the proprietors English accent always puts me in a better mood! I stay in PB for a few days every couple of weeks and have been meaning to give some props to this business for a while!

I happened upon Mad Dog Cafe while I was strolling along the boardwalk at Pacific Beach looking for a place to eat a light brunch. The mural on the side of the building drew me in as I was curious to find out exactly what a crumpet was. The welcoming woman behind the counter with a delicious British accent described... More

Very unique place by the beach. I went in looking for hotdogs... and they had Madogs, which were way better. Plus they have many European munchies like crumpets. Free WIFI. The staff were friendly and helped me out with showing me local attractions.

Found this by accident and am so happy we did. Great coffee, banana nut bread and bars. They serve breakfast and lunch but didn't partake even though it look and smelled delicious. Homemade scones and a variety of gelato. Friendly staff. Close to the boardwalk.

This is a cool little cafe with great food. Their smoothies are huge and a meal in themselves. Also they have a yummy acai bowl with 3 layers.... Smoothie, granola and fresh fruit on top. Next time I visit pacific beach I want to try their hot dogs( they have 10 or so different sausages to chose from) and hand... More

The best OJ I have ever tasted (freshly squeezed organic) and great food. Ever better, they had back bacon. Staff really friendly, good value for money - what more do you want. Highly recommended

Mad Dogs cafe is one of my favorite places to eat in Pacific Beach. It isn't your average breakfast cafe either. It has a unique selection of European Cuisine. I haven't seen it served anywhere else. They have great scramblers, crumpets, these really delicious homemade potato chips made right there every day, gelato, and their famous Mad Dogs, which are... More

My husband and I went for breakfast. It was a very casual place you order at counter and they bring you the food. My breakfast was the eggs and veggie sausage scrambled in a bun. The bun was housemade and delicious. I think it was the best part of my meal. My husband had the Mad Scrambler and it was... More
