I wish I'd stopped in earlier in my stay to discover the $7.45 breakfast from 6-8 a.m. As it was, I had the California Breakfast Burrito for brunch. It was well-prepared, filling, flavorful, and with a side of fruit for an addition 99 cents, made a relatively healthy meal. Good service, fair prices.

Ate here twice during recent visit. Both times food was very good. Diverse menu and generous portions. Everyone in group had different dishes, all very good. Can be a line to get in, but worth the wait.

Nice little restaurant in Gaslamp. Portion sizes were pretty big. Price seemed a little high, probably because of the location.

Broken Yolk Cafe is a convenient breakfast restaurant in the heart of the Gaslamp. However, I would venture to say that there are better options. The food was not bad in any way, but it does not exceed average. In many ways, I could have prepared a similar meal at home. So, that's why I would rate it as average.... More

Tucked away in the Gaslamp district is a small but very typical Broken Yolk. Outstanding food and excellent service. Thus I'd a super small restaurant so may get very crowded depending time of day especially on the weekends.

Had time to kill while my husband was working and went here for breakfast. Was busy but seated right away. Serving breakfast for 11 to 15 for most items. They do have a early brid special for 7.45 but its from 6am to 8am. Food can out fast and was average. Eggs toast and hashbrowns for 10.00 nothing special. People... More

We had tiki French toasts with bacon and eggs and they were fantastic. The eggs Benedict were ok but not amazing as the Hollandaise could taste much better and I'm not fond of the American hashbrown but it was a nice breakfast all together. Service was good, nice coffee and orange juice as well.

We came here on a Saturday morning and only had to wait 15 minutes. I love the Mexican breakfast options. Very tasteful. The bloody Mary was the best: flavorful and spicy! Service was prompt too.
