We visited this restaurant as a group of 9. Our server Mark was top notch. Food was also very tasty, starting with Calamari and vegetables, and the fresh mozzarella and tomato salad. Entrees included the seafood risotto, lobster fettuccine, chicken parmigiana, and sea bass. We would definite recommend this restaurant

Wonderful atmosphere, celebrated our wedding anniversary by ordering the tomahawk steak! Loved every minute of eating it.

Staying in San Diego for the weekend and this place was recommended to us by the concierge at the Omni hotel. It could not have been a better choice. The food, service and ambiance were incredible. The concierge said "old school Italian" and that is exactly what we got. Ordered both of our dinners from the nightly specials and both... More

We had dinner here on Mother's Day and we wanted items not on the special price menu. We were allowed to make the modifications without discussion. The chef also modified the dish slightly to omit pepper and it was delicious! We had an early reservation but maybe it wasn't even necessary. This is a must visit if you love Italian... More

We had a lovely meal here, great waiter service and good food but not cheap. We enjoyed our meal and the potions are large and we really liked the bruschetta we shared as a starter. Everything tastes so fresh and the flavours are good so I am happy to recommend Asti. Our waiter was so friendly and made us feel... More

We ate in Asti Restaurante twice when visiting San Diego in April. The food and service is impeccable although on the pricier side. I had the Linguini with red clam sauce which was excellent and my wife had the fish of the day which she loved. This restaurant is authentic Italian and many of the waiters are from Italy. The... We made a reservation at Asti Ristorante, and when we arrived were seated quickly at an outdoor table. We had a very energetic server, actually a tad too intense as he more or less repeated the menu to us that we were more than capable of reading. I shared a salad with a friend, and for my main had the... More

We were wondering in the gas lamp district trying to decide on a restaurant. Most restaurants have hostesses out front that try to get your business. There was something about Alexa friendly really sincere when she talked about why we should choose thebAstinfor dinner. We wonder a bit more but did not find anyone close to being sincere as Alexa... Staff did a wonderful job of accommodating a party of 11 on a boisterous Cinco de Mayo visit to the Gaslamp District of the city. And the food was just as scrumptious, from the porterhouse steak, to the seafood platter, to the lobster sitting atop pasta, to the lasagna, and to the spaghetti and meatballs (the size of baseballs). Our... More

The salmon Marechiaro I had was delicious and well seasoned. My boyfriend had a special, Chicken Florence was also good, although I found the sauce to be heavy and earthy compared to the lighter sauce on the salmon. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive.
