Past owner sold it. Went belly up with new management. Now closed. No info as to it's prospects. Too bad as it was a good location if you went to Copley Hall. Try the Video, right next door.

Fun for an appetizer before our dinner at an Indian place. Had a very strong fruity wine that is their specialty.

Bad food, very expensive, very bad service (a middle-aged waiter treating me badly), charged extra money, sangria without wine (should I call it sangria?!).

We have enjoyed this spot for the last few years to grab a bite to eat before a concert across the street. They have always had great food and fun entertainment. We stopped in last night only to find out that the place is closing very soon. They had a scaled down menu and you had to stand in line... More

My now wife and I visited this place with my brother and his family, on a visit to San Diego back in Summer of 2012. Fantastic place, old school feel. The meat and seafood tapas were fantastic.

Our party of five included my mother of 81, three sisters aged 50-54, and one niece age 20. We are not a crazy bunch in the least so take this into consideration when reading my comment. There is a new owner so don't pay any attention to the web site (it claims free parking but that is incorrect - $20... More

Today my friend and I had the most unpleasant experience I've been able to live and see a long, long, long time. is amazing that there is so much cruelty today in san diego. we were going to see the opera. We handled a very nice waiter, and professional, a native of Seville. food was good. all good. but when... More

It gets very busy before show time so allow a little extra time and arrive early... Two blocks from the Civic Center La Gran Tapa has a really good wine list, reasonable prices, live entertainment, and a wide variety of appetizers. The service gets a little slow before a show so be warned. We found the Caprese to be better... More

We have eaten at this restaurant a few times and so I thought I would chime in with a review, as we have had a good experience with each visit. The front dining room is set up like a club with small bistro tables near the band/entertainment. This is a great spot to dine and listen to some fun music.... More

This restaurant is despicable. The service is poor. As an example, I waited for over 5 minutes at the door and was not greeted by a single one of the many employees working there. There were only a few tables (less than 5) occupied at the time! Then they add a nearly 20 percent service charge on top of everything... More
