Very cute tavern in the gaslamp district. A replica of a 300 year old pub in Ireland. Friendly and attentive staff with a nice menu selection and beer flights. Try the Irish flight.

Stopped in this joint for a Guinness on a rainy day and I wound up with one of the best shepherds pies I've ever eaten. Nice rustic Irish Pub with very friendly and efficient servers. A great place to watch a game and kill some time!

Nice place to have a Guiness and some eats. Happy hour has lower prices but we were disappointed that they eliminated the Shepherd's Pie from the Happy Hour menu.

We came for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. I ordered the Jumbo Dublin burger with corned beef. At $14, that seemed a bit pricey, but it was good. Service was friendly and prompt. And, the interior decor was great; it was what I imagine an Irish pub might look like.

There are many so called"Irish Pubs" in Downtown San Diego. This was the real deal. Atmosphere, bar staff, and live band, all Brilliant. Haven't tried the food, but will do. Dublin itself would go some to beat this pub

4 friends from Ireland spent 2 weeks travelling California/Nevada and by far the best food we ate during the 2 week trip was here. The draft beer is very good as well and the waitresses/staff are very friendly and helpful. Came back for breakfast the next morning and it didn't disappoint. A little pricey but well worth it.

We popped in to sample the Irish bar. Both of us went for a Guinness, but it just didn't taste right, not horrible, but certainly not like a Guinness should taste like. Good to see poker on TV, don't see that often.

I had an early lunch here after seeing it on my Trolley Tour. Lunch wasn't being served until 11:30, but I ordered at 10:45 and was promptly served a delicious Shepherd's Pie. I try to have one at every Irish Pub I go to, and this was one of the best. Service was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was relaxed and... More

We went in for beer and appetizers. My Miller came out unchallenged so I ordered a draft which only came out after my appetizer and I complained. The onion rings were over cooked and awful. The chicken strips were flavorless but the potato skins were good. Our waitress could care less and was tipped accordingly. There are so many good... More

Dublin Square Irish Pub & Grill doesn't just look like a piece of Ireland-it actually is a piece of Ireland. Before getting shipped across the Atlantic Ocean to its home in the Gaslamp Quarter, the pub was manufactured on the island by O'Sullivan Interiors. What's more, it's based on an authentic pub whose roots stretch back to the early 1700s. Guests can experience this homage by sidling up to the Irish oak bar, or toasting themselves next to the cast-iron fireplace in the Victorian Lounge.

Of course, the food and drink are likewise Irish-inspired: beer-battered fish and chips, Guinness-braised beef, and an Irish lamb stew loaded with potatoes, onions, carrots, and fresh Colorado lamb. On certain nights, the pub buzzes with trivia competitions, karaoke performances, and sets from live bands.
