Our family went there to have dinner. Lady was extremely RUDE. She told him we close at 9:30 and didn't want to seat our Family of five. We arrived at the restaurant @ 9:10. Though they welcome two other parties who came after us. My husband confronted her about the two other parties and she had nothing to say!!! Would... More

A small well appointed place in the Gaslamp District. The seaweed salad, not easy to find at most Japanese restaurants, is delicious. Miso soup was average. The Special Ell Roll was seriously awesome. Nice selection of sake, both cold and hot.The menu items are a little pricey, but mostly due to the location. Excellent service.

Live 3000 miles away and this is a destination eatery for us. It's typically first and last evening's dinner when visiting San Diego. Always sit at the sushi bar and the chef's are always personable and make for an enjoyable evening. There are incredible things on the menu and the uni is fresh seven days a week unlike a lot... This place is great, I love the sushi here and the chefs. They can tell you all about the fish and make amazing dishes if you just ask them to create you something.

I was excited to try this restaurant after reading many raving reviews on tripadvisor and yelp. Umm, Quite disappointing. We started out with two appetizers which were soft shell crabs and tuna tartare. Tuna tartare had amazingly pretty presentation, however the taste was disappointing. The sauce, which I think had a bit of Gochujang or some kind of chili sauce... More

I never expect Japanese restaurants to be authentic, but this one offered a real Japanese food experience. Our server and the owner were both Japanese and the food was exquisite and the prices reasonable. Not only is this not Benihana, it isn't a standard avocado-in-everything Japanese/California sushi restaurant, although I seem to remember that avocado is available if you're looking... More

This is a simple looking restaurant but very authentic and good priced sushi. I had Salmon sashimi (fresh and tasty), the Shrimp tempura role and also Tuna Maki and would recommend it all. It's quite small so it's worth coming early or trying to book.

Thank P B
