Great experience to be had at the San Diego Melting Pot with one or more close friends and love ones. Good food that you enjoy to your liking with help from great servers to guide you in the art of fondue.

Melting Pot is located downtown and offers 2 stories. Classic table set up and menu. Restaurant was not as private as other melting pots we have been too. Also, parking can be difficult to find since it is located downtown. Would have preferred a more romantic table away from the window with constant motion outside.
We've been here twice now with friends and I have found this place to be a fun dinning experience both times. If you are unfamiliar, basically you are cooking/dipping you own food in a little pot in the middle of the table. We did the 4 course experience both times and selected the classic alpine cheese for the starter which... More
I went to the restaurant to celebrate my wife´s birthday and we had some luck because was during the Restaurant Week, where they offer a special menu with a better price. We paid $ 30 per person to eat a individual cheese fondue, a small salad and a protein fondue. It was amazing. At the end we order an extra... More
We entered just as they opened and had to wait a good 5-10 mins before they acknowledged us but once they did it was great service as usual. We went for Happy Hour and one would think you are getting the "deals" but in San Diego everything is doubled already so you are paying normal prices. That's fine b/c the... More
we had the Wisconsin Cheese , California Salad, and Cajun plate with Filet Migon, Shrimp, Chicken and Andouille Sausage and then the Bananas Foster White Chocolate Fondue, the best part of the meal was the White Choocolate was incredible, Salad Ok, Cheese Fondue was good and the entree was good my only complaint is very small portions for the meats... "Eddie Spaghetti made our experience a ten! Our kids loved his enthusiasm and watched him intently while he made our fondue. He did a great job of getting them involved in the process by having them sniff and guess what was going in the pot next. To top it off, he brought out a plate with chocolate covered strawberries and... More
We celebrated our anniversary here last week. We came a little early and enjoyed a drink for happy hour. The bartender was very professional but also personable. The manager Chris was extremely attentive and genuinely wanted to make our evening special. Our table was covered with rose petals and was in a quaint private area. The food was wonderful. Our... Our family and friends went to the melting pot - four total. We each ordered a meat/sea food dish for dipping. The food was okay. I thought, for the price, everything was okay. I would not return without using some type of Groupon Coupon. The service was excellent!
The Gaslamp district has become party central for 20-30 somethings. The Melting Pot has a popular night club under their dining room. The music and thumping of bass was pretty overwhelming not to mention the hundred plus people lined up outside the window next to our table. No my idea of a romantic evening. The dinner was good, the location... More
