This is a family-owned and run Mexican Dive in Mission Hills/Hillcrest. You cannot go wrong here with the menu, but take note, this place is a dive, so dress casually. Once you try it once, and see all the doctors from the next-door hospital ordering their lunch you will know you have come to the right place, eating where the... More

This place is a local treasure - in fact it's the first place we stop when I pick my son up from the airport for a visit home to San Diego - it's a family-owned taco shop - the real deal! My personal favorite is the Burrito A La Diabla - a spicy seafood and rice burrito - but everything... More

On our trip to California, on my wish list was to eat at a local Mexican place. This was definitely it! We were at a bit of a loss as to what to order. The lady at the counter was so sweet and just let us take our time. We ordered a mix of items so that we could just... More

This is a wonderful family owned business! 32 years in the Mission Hills area. Ricardo the owner always makes sure to greet his customers and get to know his regulars. The food is wonderful. A must visit for any of you Mexican food lovers out there.

I love their sopes! It's to die for. I'm so glad I live hours away or else I'd be as big as a house! PS. Parking is in the back now.

Had a craving for tacos and gave this place a try. No frills, order in the back, with a couple of tables and a tv. Fish taco - very nice with good dressing and vegtables. Pork taco - found this a little dry Carna asada - very good, one of the better steaks tacos that I have had Sadly, still... More

Ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and a Chile Relleno. Probably the best I have had in San Diego, but there is more area to cover. A must try if you are in the Hillcrest area!

I love my taco shops and I like ve pastor but it can be hard to find a good place that sells it. I found that place in San Diego finally right in Mission Hills/Hillcrest. The burritos and tacos were amazing and the prices great. Parking can be a little challenging since they lost their parking lot next door. It's... More

Bearing in mind that burritos aren't "real" Mexican food, San Diegan burritos are more authentic than you'll get anywhere else - more like a stuffed taco (tacos ARE authentic), unlike the bloated rice and bean stuffed monsters you'll get further north. There are a zillion good taco shops around town, but if you're looking for the best burrito you can... More

This neighborhood Taco Shop is our favorite go to when we need a quick and tasty meal! We are never disappointed. The portions are delicious, large and not too expensive. Just right for a family outing. My favorites include the fish tacos, fish burritos and the handy salsa bar! We have called them for large special occasion orders and they... More
