We were seeking a place for wine and perhaps dinner following a day at San Diego Zoo. Wet Stone Winebar is not pretentious but is instead a very relaxed atmosphere with a unique selection of foreign wines and excellent food. Our meal started with Shishito Peppers that were excellently prepared as well as Bacon Wrapped Dates. Our daughter had a... More

Seems it's more of a local hangout built in front of a house with a boho-chic artsy vibe. There's art on display on the walls and an eclectic California vibe that is perfect. It's located at the top of a hill so walking here is tough (specially in the summer sun) but you can find plenty of parking curbside on... More

This local hangout/wine bar built in front of a house with a boho-chic artsy vibe is worth the visit. There's art on display on the walls and an eclectic California feel that is perfect. It's located at the top of a hill (historic Bankers hill) so walking here is tough (specially in the summer sun) but you can find plenty... More

I love this place. Wonderful bites at happy hour and such a nice assortment of wines. Treat yourself and some friends to a fun, smallish wine bar and try some of their delicious food. Perfect for a small group to meet up before heading out for the night.

Wet Stone has quickly become my local neighborhood favorite go to spot. The happy hour is fantastic (the Malbec on offer is one of my favorites) and the food is divine (the flatbreads and bruschetta are my favorites). The service is outstanding and the atmosphere / music are perfect for a quiet catch up with friends or a cheeky wine... More

I've eaten at Wet Stone a few times in the past three months. It's small, intimate, and very stylish. Sometimes you can't get a seat at peak times, but I usually do if I wait a while. Always fun and interesting tapas style choices. Always delicious. Nice wines and the house sangrias. Never been disappointed.

This is one of San Diego's hidden gems for sure....although recent articles and mentions in several local and national publications have served to highlight the great things that are going on here. A welcoming vibe and friendly staff start out your experience, which progresses to a nice selection of regional wines and Latin influenced cuisine. On the Menu, the Pork... More

My wife discovered this trendy restaurant on Yelp. Tried it out on a Friday night. Small, dark, venue with 10 tables. Had fan running because it was warm inside and only one table outside. Waited several minutes before someone acknowledged us. Right as we were considering leaving one of the staff members greeted us. There weren't any tables available so... More

Always a nice place for unusual wine and small plates with a Brazilian influence. We liked the lamb meatballs.
