If you can overlook the food court atmosphere, then it's worth coming for the food. Especially every other Saturday when the buffet included masala dosas. Wait for fresh naan, get your favourite curry and some Tandoori chicken, and then save some room for the rotating dessert. This is our go to place. A great value and consistent food.

Sitar is part of a food court and so self-service. We ordered some Dosas and a vegetarian combo. Rava Dosa was excellent along with madras style hot & yummy sambar. Naans and Palak Panner curry were good. Dhal/rice were okay. Overall a good place to eat Indian food in San Diego especially if you are in Mira Misa Boulevard vicinity.

Being an Indian, and a lover of Indian cuisine among others, I have been to many many Indian restaurants in my life. And I have had many Malai Koftas before. But the one at Sitar is my absolute favorite. I don't know how they do it - its awesome. I have been to Sitar multiple times, and each time I... More

I have been eating at Sitar for about 5 years now as I work close by and I love the food. The food is consistently great . Recommend the samose, chicken makhni, naan , malai kofta , jeera aloo and paneer! Dosa with chicken curry is great as well. The restaurant is in a food court so chck the hours!

What a lovely surprise it was to find this little hidden gem. We were lucky enough to pop in on a Saturday...late afternoon to find out there was a delicious buffet available for $10.99 + tax. The selections were tasty and hot. The naan bread came out straight from the oven. The folks running the kiosk (family owned) take pride... More

Read mixed reviews of Sitar Indian Cuisine, a restaurant in a food court usually offering lunch for nearby corporate offices. Saturday night is their buffet with plastic plates and utensils of a variety of Indian offerings. Some very good, some seemed older chicken pieces in a high curry sauce of one sort or another. All in all average fare, wouldn't... More

I generally try to avoid food-court restaurants, but I make a point of eating at Sitar whenever I'm in Sorrento Valley. I really cannot tell you my favorite because the Masala Dosa, the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Chicken Tandoori are all wonderful. Actually - just try it all! We've enjoyed everything we've gotten from here! A note though, I'm... More

I've been to Sitar several times now and it has been consistently good. The quality is better than you would expect from a food court restaurant. The combo's are complete meals with naan, rita and soup for less than $9. Cooked to order the portions are more dinner sized than lunch I'd say. Definitely worth a visit if you're in... More

I have been eating lunch and sometimes dinner at Sitar for at least 10 years and have never been disappointed. I am amazed that more people have not sent in reviews.....perhaps we all take this place for granted since it has been here for so long The quality and flavor of their dishes is remarkable, considering that this is a...
