It's off Rt 6 in Wellfleet and a hidden gem. Tonight we had the short rib and fillet of sole. Both were delectable and would definitely come back again.

This is not a restaurant catering to tourists. It isn't trendy or pretentious. It's where the locals come for a reliably excellent meal (try their sole, or grilled salmon) and a nice glass of wine at an affordable price. The decor is cosy New England and the service is good. The noise level is not excessive. You won't be disappointed.
I'll make this quick-- nothing short of an utter dissapointment. This is a place with a great reputation, but our visit saw delivey of four meals to our table that left us feeling fully ripped. How can a place with such experience deliver fish so dried out? C'mon! Don't they look? Point to the kitchen. Oh, and what about the... More
Our friends have a nice house in Wellfleet, and invited us down on a cold winter weekend. There's not many places to go in the winter, but evidently the Wicked Oyster is always open. I had the Brioche French Toast, while my partner had the Salmon Benedict. Our friends had a short stack and a garden omelet. Everything was wonderful,... More
frequently go there with group on Sunday. Service and food always impeccable. Menu has someting for everyone. Huervos Rancheros is my favorite. Parking is in front and also around the back of building. Waitresses ave all been very friendly and welcoming and have great service. Miss them when they are closed for a few weeks in the winter.
It's so nice to walk into a friendly atmosphere the first thing in the morning for breakfast or have dinner in the evening. The food is always good and varied. We eat there every year.
Our group started off with specialty cocktails. One of them being a Chipotle Bloody Mary with Cucumber Infused Vodka! Yum! Had the Clam Chowder to start. It was delicious, full of clams and not overly thick. Oysters were very fresh and nicely prepared. Had the salad with strawberry and added the pan seared scallops. Scallops were perfectly cooked and flavorful.... More
The building is about 2-300 years old, with gorgeous wide plank floors and adorned with lovely artwork (for sale!). But the SHOW stopper of this joint is their oyster stew - kissed with sherry, 5 plump and luscious oysters, roasted corn, and a daintily creamed broth that will make your knees week. A SERIOUS far cry from the awful and... More
Ate there over the summer for the first time. When on the Cape I always tend to return to my faves so I generally don't try "new" places. But I was there for a whole week and my friend wanted to check it out. It turned out to be a great meal (if I recall I had scallops) and I... More
I love knowing that I can get great brunches and dinners even after the summer ends and the seasonal places shut down. The bar is hopping and the fireplace is cozy. Also love the local art on the walls. Wish I could have wide plank floors like they have.
