My first time here and it was so delicious. The waiter didn't really come up to us much but that didnt bother . The food was so good! Came here with a friend to catch up and the food was really really tasty. I ordered a fried chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was really big and a... More

My daughter and I had a long day walking so we stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. It's not a fancy place, shared table seating but the staff was very friendly and the cheeseburgers were delicious!

It was a Sunday morning and the place was packed. There was a 30 minute wait (the place is small inside) but the employees were all very accommodating, the service was good, the food came out fast and was great. A constant flow of fresh coffee fended off the cold morning's chill!

We showed up at 9pm on a Monday and were seated right away. GREAT VALUE! I love the lamb ragu, it was perfect with a glass of red wine. My partner ordered the Blueys with truffle fries. We were so pleased with the prices and service that we opted for dessert - Sticky Date Pudding. Loved the complex flavors and... More

A busy spot, good food options, prompt service, friendly staff. Our NYC family members recommended it. An active, positive vibe, Minor negative: perhaps a little cramped, but it was a Friday evening , so go with it....

I loved this place. A warm Aussie hello followed by coffee and a food menu that takes me straight back to my cafés in Bondi Junction and Paddington. It seems that im not the only one who agrees there was a 30 minute wait for a table and a line up that didn't let up until well into the late... More

Great food, fast service and cool environment: a great positive surprise, for a very simple and tiny place. Must have the Bronte burger with fries

This little place was recommended to me before we left Melbourne, and it lived up to the recommendation. Had a light breakfast which was good, Vegemite on toast of course, and a coffee that reminded me of home!

We discovered Ruby's purely by accident. We were on a huge walk discovering New York and were famished towards the end of the day. Although there are several restaurants close by Ruby's looked the most inviting! Very small location but produces top quality food and drink. We are from Australia and were surprised to hear Australian accents amongst the staff.... More

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
