This lovely small intimate nicely designed restaurant was finally what we have been looking for in the past week in New York. Delicious food, very comforting background music,a warm atmospheric interior design and above all affordable, they won't rip you off with outrageous prices like we experienced in so many other vegan restaurants this week.We had a wonderful vegan tofu, rice and vegetable... I took my vegan daughter to this small restaurant during a quick trip to New York. She found the menu interesting and enlightening. The food did not disappoint. Not my fare but my daughter really enjoyed the macro bowl. Service was quick, courteous and fittingly quirky. We were early for dinner and were only one of two tables being served... More

Small place (maybe 10 small tables); The menu has so many options that look appealing. All of us enjoyed our selection. We will be back!

We stopped for dinner last Saturday night. Food was fresh and delicious and I'm not vegan. Our server was extremely polite. I'd definitely go back.

Loved the place! We looked for an inexpensive place that offers vegan dishes and fortunately found Wild gigner. It's small and cozy and has many diverse choices. We took the 'lunch specials' which is their lunch deal that includes soup and a spring roll for 9 dollars!

Tiny little cozy place tucked in the corner. Wine list isn't big, but the choices of food is nice. Overall food is great, service is not bad.

Wow! An Asian restaurant that is totally vegan! The food was great. There was a large choice of items on the menu. Service was excellent and very fast. The ambiance in the restaurant was nice with pleasant background music. Prices were reasonable. Definitely a good choice.

Took my non-vegan family to this restaurant and they really enjoyed their meals. The 'chicken' nuggets were so believable they couldn't believe they weren't the real thing. Really worth a visit. Not cheap but well worth it.

Their starters were really good, we had the dumplings, fried tofu and pancakes and it was Delish. My main course was meh ... I am not a fan of sweet and sour ... It was vegetable sietan ... Not something I would pick if you like spicy food. Service is quick and the staff is very friendly. It is an... More

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
