Great spot! Out of the mainstream. Copious sandwich fillings. Great blt, tuna, and turkey. Rustic setting. Good service.

We spotted this corner cafe on our last day in New York City after trying to get into a few places that were very crowded. What a cosy, inviting and welcoming cafe with super friendly owners. We shared a delicious egg sandwich on grain bread, a fresh orange juice, good coffees while our daughter had a smoked salmon bagel. Good,... More

Spotted this corner cafe on a cold day and found a table. Ordered beef barley soup, served with bread, and a beef and onion roll served with chips. Both were fresh and delicious inexpensive and served with a smile. Recommend.

Stumbled across this place wondering the streets. Good selection of sandwiches and also drinks. BLT well presented and tasty. Also good value for money. The guy serving was from Devon which made for an interesting conversation as I grew up there. Well worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Tiny Giant makes great sandwiches and coffee. Staff is great, as you would expect in a locals place. I had a Spicy Rizzah. Delish!

My friend and i went here 3 times in our 5-day stay in NY. We really liked the coffee! Service is friendly and we also tried a sandwich and a danish and liked both.

Great bagels to ahve any time during the day! Staff are friendly and the prices are good! The best bagel is the smoked salmon!

Came in on a quiet Sunday evening, had a great experience! Ordered the basil lemongrass soda, which didn't taste like anything but sugar, but that was the only less-than stellar item here. The spicy razaak was loaded with turkey and bacon, with an incredible spicy sauce. The grilled COBB was excellent - just enough bleu cheese dressing and their loaves... More

If we'd ordered two sandwiches instead of a sandwich and a salad we'd have given four out of five on the above review. Choosing a small sandwich, it comes out with plenty of filling and a handful of potato chips to snack on. More than acceptable. The salad, however, wasn't great. We chose a 'side' Caesar salad and opted to... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
