We stumbled on this restaurant last year while staying at the Courtyard Marriott UES - and have really enjoyed our two breakfasts there. Super friendly servers (wish I could recall our server's name... but I know she was getting ready to visit family in Albania for a couple weeks), very good food and food options, and generous servings. I love... More

On York Avenue, near the East River, Timmy's is an excellent spot for breakfast/brunch. An efficient and hard working staff handles a lot of people in and out but the experience is enjoyable. The space itself is large enough to accommodate a good crowd but small enough to feel "neighborhood".

We headed for Timmys for our very last breakfast in New York City, before returning back home. A very nice waitress welcomed us, prepared our table (we were 11, including 5 kids) and waited for our complicated orders split in three families. The food was tasty and well prepared, with large servings. Overall a lovely goodbye to Manhattan.

We met friends here for a late breakfast on a Sunday. Very friendly staff. Kid friendly, menu has good healthy options. Good prices. Very clean. Didn't feel rushed. A great park for kids across the street.

We had some really excellent breakfasts here. This is the best place to get a good meal to start your day off when exploring New York City. Server was very personable and remembered our coffee and drink preferences when we went back the next day. Nice relaxing atmosphere and great food with a lot of choices. We were staying at... More

Went here 3 days in a row for breakfast. Try the Omelets. 3 eggs, a huge variety of fillings, the hash browns are as big as the omelet, choice of toast with butter and jelly. The waitress keeps the coffee cups and water glasses full. This is a great hardy breakfast. If you have a lot of walking to do... More

Friendly service. Poached eggs done right. Good people watching. Nice hot coffee served in a proper white mug. Certainly worth a stop if in the area.

Ordered the meat loaf dinner. Was served with fresh mixed veg., salad and a large serving of mashed potatoes. The gravy had fresh chopped mushrooms; So Good.

I was so impressed when we first arrived here. It was clean and quiet, we got a table near the open patio with a fresh breeze, our server was the most pleasant of our New York vacation. BUT, she served 2 fountain cokes in which within minutes red ants were crawling all over the glasses and in the drinks. We... More

This is a good place to have a good breakfast or lunch, with outdoor seating, a friendly staff, decent service, reasonable prices. Drinks are reasonable, hamburgers are good.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
