Of all countries in the world that is in the limelight - politically speaking - Mexico is number one. So it seems fitting that I review one of Mexico's greatest imports - that of Sinigual Restaurant in New York City. There are so many international fine dining establishments in Manhattan, however I feel confident that Sinigual has to be on... More

My office is right around the corner from this place, so we do lunch here often. Table made guac is good and people on my team really enjoy the carnitas. Lunch is fine, but happy hour is much better. Sitting in the cantina has a more fun vibe and the cocktails are good.

The lack of service here really did impact our experience. The food was just OK. The service however was horrendously bad. I can't recall a time where we constantly had to ask our server for things - more water, a fork, chips for the guacomole, another round of drinks, a missing meal. We sat 10 minutes before anyone even came... More

Surprisingly good Mexican food in NYC. Service was very good. We found street parking nearby. Nice menu. Good guacamole. Definitely recommend. Nice restaurant and bar.

Midtown east location close to grand central station. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Couple of Mexican beers on tap and some bottles. Wines and liquor list more extensive. The guacamole is made table side in a molcajete. Jalapeños are added per your spice level request. This was quite delicious. The tortilla chips that came with it I found... More

Easy in & out for a warm and delicious lunch. Fresh Fish Tacos for me (and boy were they yummy!) and Grilled Steak Soft Tacos for my friend. Portions were generous with red & black beans served in a cup (more like delicious soup than refried), pasilla chile-cilantro rice, avocado relish and the tastiest little sweet corn cake all appealing... Leslie and I had to catch a train and were limited on time. She ordered the Tacos and I had the Fajitas. Restaurant was not busy and the food came quickly. It was very tasty. Leslie said here taco's were the best she has had out. The only thing that could have made it better would be the chips and... More

Went for dinner (family of 3). Good atmosphere, fast service albeit the waiter was very dry and lacked personality!! Food was good but not outstanding, portion sizes were ok. Never got offered desserts - were given the bill instead! Wouldn't go back

Our group of 6 women walked into Sinigual for dinner and were seated promptly on a busy night during the Christmas season. The service was excellent and the food absolutely amazing! I had the steak and cheese enchilada. The steak was well seasoned, tender and delicious and the cheese enchilada was totally amazing! I don't know what they did to... More

Excellent, upscale Mexican food. They even provided a separate childrens menu when we asked. We were able to reserve for 15 and enjoyed every minute. It was noisy and a little slow on the service but it was a perfect pick for us to spend time and talk. Drinks are New York pricey.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
