The meals were good farm-to-table but I would say rank on average or below taste from farm-to-table restaurants outside the city which are priced more reasonably.

Good food, good service, not rushed. What else do you want? The food was brunch style and the servings were not stingy

Gramercy Park is an area where there is a very good amount of choices for eaters and drinkers. Almond is a combination of both. Well located and with a good décor,it provides a very good service. Food is well proportional and tasty, as well as with good presentation. Service is also very good. Prices are average. Overall, a very good... More

We met several friends for brunch and had a great time. Their menu has enough choices whether for sweet or savory. The bloody marys can be ordered with an extra kick of spice and were tasty. The only reason I didn't rate them a five is because the service was a bit slow. While I am one for enjoying a... More

First time here for a dinner. Has the feel of a French bistro crossed with steakhouse. Nice atmosphere. Was busy. I had the streak and friends had the veal special. Everything was great. They offer substitutions such as salad for fries. Good neighborhood place

Our party of 11 went there for Christmas Eve brunch and had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and plentiful, the place was beautifully decorated. The holiday music was at just the right volume so that we could enjoy it and still carry on a lively conversation. We found ourselves staying even after they cleared the table to enjoy... More

I have been coming here for several years but had not been back in a while. Met friends for drinks and appetizers on Wednesday and was reminded about what an enjoyable place this is. It is a fairly large restaurant with a long bar area so ideal for meeting people or for a quiet dinner. The food is consistently good... More

Have dined there many times, but had not recently for some reason. The food is consistently excellent, year after year. I had the oysters, which were very fresh, but very small :-( and a delicious scallop and fennel crudo. My partner had the roasted beets which were wonderfully made and the tile fish equally delicious, Just Go!!!

Thank Sophie G

Almond, an American bistro located in New York City’s bustling Flatiron District, combines the best of rustic French cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere. Co-owner and Executive Chef Jason Weiner offers a menu of accessible dishes that put market-fresh ingredients center stage. Classic Almond dishes include Steamed Black Mussels with Shallots and White Wine and Roast Chicken with Hand-Crushed Potatoes and Natural Jus, while a list of “plats du jour” range from Roasted Whole Fish and Herritage Farms Porkchop to Rack of Lamb. The thoughtful wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines by the glass or bottle from regions across France and California. A specialty cocktail list, New York state craft beer selection, and raw bar selections are all available at the restaurant’s spacious 20-seat bar. Private dining spaces are perfect for larger parties and the European-style billiards room adds to the restaurant’s charm.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
