Good service from pleasant and responsive staff. Unfortunately every dish I tasted was overloaded with sugar, even the spicy curry. Korma was almost inedible because of the sugar, the chutneys were syrupy with sugar. Have not had worse Indian fare in NY.

Opens for lunch at 12 noon sharp! Shared two starters of the Cheese Burrata with figs and honeycomb and the Chorizo Flatbed with shrimps. Both were gorgeous and very tasty. The chicken schnitzel however (that we also shared) was just OK. It just didn't feel right eating it and I love my schnitzel! Served with just rocket, the chicken wasn't... More

Our family went for dinner and had the "special" - an appetizer, entree, rice and naan for about $20 each. The service was very good and we really liked the food. The korma was our favorite.

Andaz is one of few Indian places on Upper East Side 1st avenue. Good and fast with pleasant and receptive staff. Good there - eat there, enjoy.

Have never dined in. Always ordered delivery. Average Indian food. There are better choices for Indian food on the Upper East Side.

Our meal was served properly, great taste. Had fried okra that was lovely. Also an appetizer with garbanzos and spices delicately mixed and different from any other Indian. There were no other people in restaurant...which makes me a bit doubtful but we were tired n it was cold outside and so we tried it? Glad we stayed.

Delicious and healthy Indian food at reasonable prices. Very friendly and quick service. Restaurant is small and intimate. It's open 7 days a week.

This is fine restaurant operated under tight control and with good order/tidiness. The spicy was US spicy not Indian spicy. Lamb tenderloin was exquisite while chicken ticken masala was average thou the sauce was really good. The nan bread was too thick according to our liking. All in all a middle 4. Why should you come here; lamb tenderloin, local... More

The upper east side has several Indian restaurants that offer a buffet lunch Andaz is one of them. I went to the buffet last week- the outside of the restaurant has a board that lists the buffet items for that day. I really like their Somoza chat as well as aloo gobi. The other selections included tandoori chicken and chicken... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
