Had to wait fifteen minutes to be seated with reservations. You could not get another seat in this place with a shoe horn. The server provide zero assistance to understand or select from the menu. In addition she was rude and insulting. The sea urchin pasta dish was tasteless. The oysters were excellent. The scallops were great as well. Overall... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. The menu has a mix of both contemporary Italian seafood as well as traditional dishes. The flavors are outstanding with top quality ingredients that are rarely seen outside of Italy, as Chef White trained in Italy in one of the most famed restaurants under it's Master Chef, and it truly shows... I ate at Marea on St. Patrick's day and was expecting the meal of a lifetime. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Food, service, presentation, atmosphere, all stellar. I must say, my friend and I were quite disappointed. We began our meal with the crudo tasting. As lovely as the presentation was, the flavor profile was bland and really nothing to... More

Enjoy with your partner a fantastic Italian meal with the freshest sea food selection Ny has to offer. A little on the pricier side but you get what you paid for.

What can I say about Marea that hasn't been said yet? Not much really. I feel like the food here was worth the prices - of course it helped that I didn't have to pay since I got treated here during a work related dinner. We got a bunch of crudo and I really couldn't tell you which one I... More

I've heard about this restaurant for years, and I was not disappointed. The crab salad was wonderful, followed by a pasta and shrimp dish. The half portion was perfect. My husband ordered the truffled pasta that was even better. As a main course I ordered halibut, and he got the Dover sole and both were amazing. This is a beautiful,... More

The service was superb and so was the food. We specifically enjoyed the sepia appetizer and the veal pasta with sweetbread. The only issue I encountered was that I received someone else's bill, initially.

We had dinner here early in March having heard only good things. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and well executed. Tasty fresh seafood and to die for pasta especially with Black truffle. Would highly recommend on any evening out

Fantastic Italian seafood restaurant on the south side of central park. Food is delicious. Very seafood-centric,some delightfull pasta dishes also. Very few veggie dishes however the one i had (pasta with black truffles) was superb. Food is pricy but well worth it. Huge wine list ranging from expensive to re-mortgage the house 😂. as nice as the drinks selection was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
