I didn't know what Dinges was either, but it's toppings. Bacon, chocolate, syrup, you name it. I went to the location by Bryant Park (it wasn't listed on trip advisor). I liked grabbing the waffle and sitting in the park listening to the free concert that was playing. Bryant always has a lot of activities going on, so enjoy the... More

I don't mean to sound snobby or anything but you HAVE to visit Belgium to taste an authentic Belgian Waffle (or Gaufre as they're called). The smell as you walk through a Flemish city center is intoxicating. This does come somewhat close! The prices are a bit steep for what you get but hey, it's New York City. They have... More

I pass by the waffle station right by Macy's on 6th Avenue all the time, and it is hard to resist the temptation to get one. The wait is sometimes long as they have only 2 people manning the station but no one seems to be mind. I am also happy that the staff is quite friendly. Hope they won't... More

We recently visited the Wafels and Dinges kiosk in Bryant Park. It was delightful. The service was wonderfully pleasant and efficient, The waffle dessert was fresh and flavorful. We had a waffle that had honey, peanut butter, banana, chocolate and bacon. It was wonderfully sweet and savory. You won't be disappointed here.

We had the wafel with strawberry and whipped cream, and I can honestly say this is the best wafel I have ever had! The only down side is that the service was pretty bad though, but who cares when you have good wafels, right? :)

This is the one dessert / sweet tooth craving I had during my last visit to NYC that I Regret NOT getting AGAIN!!! It was the perfect amount of sweet and the waffle itself had an amazing sweet, possibly vanilla taste. I got the waffle with strawberries and whip cream on top, while my boyfriend got one with bacon and... More

Staying across from Bryant Park, I got to visit Wafels & Dinges twice last week, both times absolutely delicious! Be prepared to wait a bit but the wafers are definitely worth it!

Spencer at the 35th St location went above and beyond and the waffles were amazing. Try the DA Throwdown Waffle, you don't regret it!

I've had Belgian waffles in Belgium, and these are just as good! Service was great, and waffles and coffee are incredible. We went to the Bryant Park location, and I highly recommend. :)

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
