I stopped in here for a quick bite on a Monday. Cool atmosphere and great food. The lamb burger was delicious. This particular day the service was a bit slow - bartender was nice enough, though. I recommend especially if you're staying at the Ace

We stopped in here after a night of fun with friends. Its been 18 months since I'd been in, but my memory of my previous best tasting burger with one of the coolest bartenders that doled out some great drinks and service to being told they don't serve the lamb burger. Thats not the worst of it. The bartender, Davisch,... More

I was staying at Ace hotel so I went there for dinner on my first day. I ordered Lamb burger. It was as just a burger with onions (I asked to take out feta as I don't eat cheese) with crisps and mayo on the side. It was veeery basic. I agree with all the reviews that's it's overpriced for... More

I had the 30 oz steak for two. Fairly mediocre given the extremely high prices. I didn't get much of the funky minerally goodness that I was expecting from something that is supposed to be aged for 42 days. There was also less fat then I expected and that fat is where a lot of the dry aged flavor is.... More

I really love that place. It's kind of pricey but the atmosphere is just amazing. Our waitress was really sweet, and the food was -as always - really good. Very original dishes (my salad had some kind of fried turnips and beets, tasted awesome), and the lemon cheese cake for dessert was great. You have to plan in advance to... More

We went for brunch, without a reservation but restaurant was half empty with plenty of ready tables. Despite this we were told we would need to wait 10 minutes for a table to be set. After waiting in the bar (not yet open so not sure of the point) we were shown to a table that had been free and... More

"You'll love the breakfast. But you have to wait for the coffee." So said my colleague who led us to this wonderfully atmospheric NVC restaurant. And he was right. The room is wonderful. Full of history and atmosphere. But if you like to have coffee with breakfast (which many of us do) then you just have to wait. I loved... More

My girlfriend and I were staying in the Ace Hotel next door and dined here twice. We had a lovely breakfast - pancakes ! They were delicious And reasonably priced. Dinner however was a different story the service was terrible , we were served a $60 bottle of red which was freezing! After a long while the server gave us... More

We were looking for a place for late night drinks in New York and stumbled into the punk rock haven of the Ace Hotel. We found an entryway to another bar on the east side of the lobby and found the wonderful little Breslin. We decided to sit at the bar so we could see the drinks being made. We... More

One of the single worst dining experiences in all my 50+ years on the NY dining scene. I arrived on-time for my brunch reservation - that was my end of the deal. 15 minutes waiting for coffee, which arrives warm, at best, NOT hot. Four entrees, all delicious, but staff never checked in, had to flag everybody and anybody for... More
