We had a wonderful meal before a show. An excellent bar meal or full dinner menu. Good price for the experience. We had a super friendly waitress who went out of her way to provide us with additional restaurant suggestions. It was a quiet, lovely meal in a busy, hectic part of the city.

I took my wife here between our matinee and evening performances and based the selection on its prime location. Well, needless to say while the location was nice, the food, service and ambiance was even better than I thought. This is a little gem of a restaurant and our server (big shout out to Niat) was excellent. She provided a... More

Our party of 6 visited for my husband's birthday. Booked a couple of days in advance and were seated at a great table in front of an impressive fireplace! Food choices were all lovely and the waitress was very nice, although we did feel a bit 'forgotten about' at times. Understand that some people may like privacy though. We were... More

We ate here before going to the theater and the server did an excellent job of expediting the food to accommodate our schedule. This is traditional fare and it's done well. It's not fine dining and, while the atmosphere is pleasant, children could dine here without comment. Our meal was good, basic, and satisfying.

Spent Thanksgiving with my family of very picky eaters. Everyone was thrilled with their meals. The wait staff was super nice and they were great with my 14 month. I will be back.

We ate here for a pre-theatre dinner with a party of six. The restaurant has a nice, quiet, upscale atmosphere, and a decent selection on entrees. Among our party we has salmon, steak, lamb and pasta, and all were well-prepared and flavourful. The warm chocolate cake for dessert was to die for. My only issue was service. We were a... More

We went here for our last dinner whilst in New York on holiday. Our waitress was absolutely brilliant! Really attentive and made us all feel very welcome! The wine was amazing and steak also cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend this place! I was disappointed with some places in New York as they add a service charge without even asking... We stopped in for an early dinner before the theatre. The food was okay, but our waitress acted as if she was doing us a favor by waiting on us. While we were seated in the bar area, we were not offered a bar menu. (After looking at it outside of the restaurant when we left, it looked as if... More

You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm and truly makes the customer feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible. Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
