I just had a delicious lunch with friends at the Glass House Tavern on 47th Street. Food was excellent, dessert (Molten Chocolate cake with mocha gelato ) out of the world. This is our second time there and it's still wonderful. Staff is friendly and...More

The food is good, but not amazing, the price is expensive, but you pay for the proximity to Broadway Theaters.

We chose this restaurant after viewing the menu online, reasonable pricing and proximity to special event that we needed to attend immediately after dinner. Proximity was probably the most important thing. So when it came to dinner time, I had my fingers crossed that the...More

We had a great experience at GHT. We were seated upstairs by the window. We (2 of us) shared a crab cake appetizer. Our server, Renita, guided us to excellent entrees.... salmon and halibut. Everything was delicious and we appreciated the advice from our waiter....More

We have a hard time finding a really good restaurant in the Theater District but we had a recommendation for the Glass House Tavern and enjoyed the Tavern Burger. I did think that $6 for a Bud Light was a bit steep.

Always surprising to me, the Broadway theater district has relatively few really good restaurants. Glass House Tavern is a new find for us, featuring modern fusion American cuisine. Among three of us, we enjoyed the tomato mozzarella salad and crab cake as starters. The seafood...More

Slow service- late to pour water- late to ask for drink orders. Never did bring the Pellegrino that was ordered. Soup was lukewarm, hanger steak over cooked and tough. Menu is limited. One of the group mentioned long rectangular table for 8 was like eating...More

I've never eaten at the bar, so can't address comfort. My guess is that since you are dining solo, you will be able to get a seat at the bar. Linda

You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm and truly makes the customer feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible. Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.
