I do not write meh reviews, I just let people try it on their own. However, I feel compelled to warn fellow humans away from whatever is happening here. I sat in what resembled a bad-dream Silent Hill abandoned diner eating "French onion soup" that tasted like nothing so much as dirty dishwater until I couldn't stand it. Then I... More

We were using Restaurants Near Me Now, but the one we picked out wasn't there (Barillo's supposedly on Ave of Americas at 40th), so we walked around until we saw this place. The sign and menu both say 38th St Diner(not Coffee Shop), which may be why it didn't come up on a Trip Advisor Search. This place looks like... More

We tried this diner after reading positive reviews on trip advisor. Pleasant staff and quick service. Nice food at good prices. We have been there three times for breakfast and each time the food was hot, fresh and tasted good. The place is very clean and they have free WiFi, just ask for the code.

The restaurant was close to our hotel, so we stopped in for breakfast. Not the best, but it was quick.

small diner located between sixth and fifth avenue operated by a pleasant Asian couple. We had breakfast here mid week. Nothing special but if you looking for eggs or pancakes at a decent price, you could much worse the the the coffee shop on 38th Street

We love the coffee shops and diners in NYC...some are quirky....adding to the "charm." This coffee shop was not busy upon our arrival and we were told to sit wherever we liked. We had plenty of time to look at the menu because no one bothered with us until 2 more tables of customers arrived. Our orders were placed, 3... More

We stopped in for a light lunch just because we happened to walk by. The food was good, not great, but more than decent. My husband had a BLT and I had the lentil soup. The waitress was very nice and the prices were very good.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
