Great breakfast place. Place was packed however they managed to squeeze us in. Had pancakes with bacon on the side. Delicious. Service was very good, pleasant and efficient. I would love to go again soon:-)

Just returned from 5 nights in NYC and we ate here twice. I had it recommended. Between us we had meatballs, pasta aldred I, sirloin, pastrami on rye, fajitas, cheesecake, ice cream, sorbet. All dishes were lovely. We ate at 9 & 10pm, walked in without booking although you may need to book if you eat earlier. Most main courses... More

When we left Good Morning America we were starving. We went right around the corner to The Brooklyn Diner. Very cute atmosphere. We had a booth by the window which was perfect for people watching. There was three of us so we all ordered something different. Buttermilk pancakes with bacon, an omelet, and French toast. Everything was delicious. Naomi was... More

Our party of four dined here on a Sunday morning. The establishment was packed, but we were seated after a very short wait. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delightful as was the macchiato. The muffin in a mug was tasty; the Mixed Marriage was interesting and worth a try; the Salmon Benedict, Blueberry Pancakes, and Bagel Tower were everything... More

Whilst this restaurant isn't much to look at decor wise the food and service are brilliant. Definitely one to visit and one we would come back to. Table wait time predicted was very accurate. Our server was so lovely and helpful, chatted but wasn't intrusive. The food was plentiful, tasty and fresh. My son said the burger was one of... More

I visit the Brooklyn Diner every time I return to NYC. It is cozy and nostalgic and the service is good. I always go during non-peak hours. I love the egg creams. The homemade chicken soup is fantastic.

If you are visiting NYC and want an "authentic" American food experience, just like the movies, come here. There's a wide choice of food and the staff are very friendly. We ate there twice, breakfast and lunch, and loved it. The portions are big - and priced accordingly :) - but it added to our whole trip.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
