I really wanted to love this place, it had long been my dream to get to eat here. We did enjoy the drinks, the apetizers (especially beef carpaccio thing and pork buns) but for example duck breast dumplings were dry and tasteless. Overall the food was not at all as innovative as I had expected or experienced elsewhere and the... More

We were so excited to eat at Ma Peche but sadly it just didn't live up to our expectations. The service was great, though. We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and helpful. She gave us suggestions and explained things we didn't know. We tried a bit of everything and everyone kind of shared, which was nice.... More

The half-dozen oysters with thai basil and mignonette were superb, and the "Little Gem" salad with bibb lettuce and bespoke smoky bacon-ranch dressing was perfect to share. Actually all of the dishes are best shared amongst two or three. Fried Oyster Bun was a captivating experience of crunchy and oysterey sticky-bun with a light remoulade. One of us had the... More

We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. It was really hard to find this place, since you had to go inside a building to find it. The restaurant is located downstairs, so if you can't do stairs, you might want to avoid this place. The food they offered came two ways, a small plate, or... More

Came here for breakfast with a group of 3. I ordered the eggs your way with bacon. At $16, the eggs were basic, overcooked, the bacon very crispy and tasted like standard store bought bacon. The hash browns are your standard square hash browns that look like whats served at McDonalds. No care was put into the presentation of the... More

I had been to Momofuku Saam Bar some years ago so was pleased when our son made reservations for Sunday brunch at Ma Peche because I wanted to try another David Chang restaurant. The food was delicious: savory pork buns with hoisin, egg buns with cheese and bacon, corned beef and cabbage buns--they were all SO good. We also had... More

The dining room is located down a flight of stairs in the Chambers Hotel. I was able to walk in as they were opening - 5:30 - without a prior reservation. The overall vibe was understated and romantic - blush interiors, simple wood chairs/tables & low lighting. I was there for an early dinner so not sure how loud it... More

Followed up visit to DC restaurant 2 weeks ago to this part of the empire - overall it did not disappoint: Tasty bloddy mary (a little small), Jade dragon drink awesome and spicy. Steamed pork buns perfect. Chicken and waffles, the habanero spice was almost too much and the waffle was really filling- excellent. Brisket bowl similar to crispy beef... More

Description
Ma peche is momofuku's only restaurant that doesn't require a subway ride to get to if you're coming from the moma, the theater district, central park, or work: it's in midtown. Ma peche (which means "mother peach") serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

At ma peche, guests may choose from a variety of a la carte offerings from executive chef paul carmichael. A selection of passed plates are presented tableside to complement these dishes, creating a hand-selected, communal dining experience.

Ma peche includes a midtown outpost of christina tosi's bakery, momofuku milk bar.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
