Le Parisien does not fail to please. In tight quarters, this petit bistrot is always full with happy customers, so reservations here can be important. Le Parisien tries to turn tables as quickly as possible, but I note diners are not keen to eat up quickly the wonderful food served, wanting to bask in the buzzy pleasant atmosphere. A former... This restaurant deserves a 6th star! We loved it so much, the food was delicious, we had the duck confit, liver, pork and muscles and for dessert we had the creme brûlée which was to die for, apple tart tartin and floating island! Oh the deliciousness!!! The staff are absolutely exceptional! A wonderful experience!

Intimate. Good vibe. Good wine. Good food. Good service. What's more do a diner need? I went with a group of relatives who's on veggie for a day (no meat, no wine ... it's me, go figure ...). But we managed to have an enjoyable dinner. Salads save the night. And we also ordered pasta which is not on the... More

This is exactly the kind of place we were looking for. We really wanted a neighborhood, hole-in-the-wall kind of place with a nice atmosphere and great food. At first I was very surprised at just how small it was - with a lot of tables packed in. But once I got used to it and had a little wine, the... More

This is a very small restaurant and tables/patrons are close together and the noise level a little high. However, the charm here is the food which is excellent. Three of us really enjoyed our food - I had calves liver, the other two duck confit and mussels in wine & garlic. They say the best compliment is returning and we... More

Not your typical place to bring a 10 & 13 year old but wow was it amazing. The kids loved the small restaurant atmosphere and no frills that comes from the chain restaurants. Only seats 30-40 guests. The food was outstanding, get the homemade pasta and the duck, both are amazing. Wine was great too. Definitely will be back, with... More

Just like being in a neighborhood family owned restaurant in Paris. Small, tight quarters but fun and definately a local destination. The food was delightful, Duck Confit was the best. Was there with business associates and everyone enjoyed their food. And the prices are very reasonable. Don't expect the a price fancy French dining experience. This is real. I will... More

We enjoyed our meal, our food wasn't amazing but it was good. We have had better French cuisine in Manhattan but it was good. The owner's rudeness ruined our experience. He ignored requests for service then rolled his eyes when my wife or I would persist and ask for some water or our check. When he asked if we wanted... More

Dined here with my beau in a last-minute decision on Friday night. What a delightful meal! We had the beet salad, duck confit and steak frites. All of the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my steak frites - the steam was perfectly cooked to medium-rare and the fries crispy and soft. We had wine (quite a bit) and both... More

Description
Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines. Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere. Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
