Great bar drinks. Appetizers were delicious. We had flatbread and ordered another. The beef Wellington was their speciality and had that for dinner. No disappointments here. Very trendy place that has a popular following .

I am obsessed with scotch and these guys here have what I call as "whisky bible." The food is just as outstanding as the choices they have for scotch! It's a bit expensive, but hey this is New York and for the choices that you get, I'd gladly spend the money!

Just beautiful Scottish restaurant. Light ambience, cool people, excellent food for a reasonable price. For Whiskey lovers that is the right place. Their list of options is really big. I had a fantastic short Rib with potatoes.

We stubbled into this place on a busy, cold Friday night and were really well looked after. Given it was 7:30pm on a Friday, busy busy busy and we had no reservation, we were more than happy to be offered what was, disclosed to us in advance, the table near the bathroom. It was perfectly fine! My husband loved the... More

One of our friends lives in NYC and recommended this restaurant for us to celebrate our anniversary and it was just as described. Busy bar and small restaurant through the back, good service and even better food. As we are from Scotland we are good judges of others cooking Scottish dishes and they were spot on with an American twist.... More

A busy and interesting Scottish themed pub and restaurant. Unfortunately our (& others) evening was spoiled by some foul mouthed juvenile hipsters with no regard for anyone other than themselves. The waitress kindly found us a different area of the restaurant where we enjoyed good fare and drinks. Reasonable prices

We had The Highlands on our list to visit based in their reputation for an extensive Scotch selection. We were not disappointed. The meal was fantastic, the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing, and the staff was professional and attentive. Will definitely be back.

It is easy to find an Irish bar/restaurant in NYC. Finding a place that is Scottish is special. Highlands is a treat for those who appreciate the difference. Tucked away on a corner of the street in the West Village, Highlands in small, intimate, and welcoming, much like Scotland itself. A "must have"is the Scotch eggs, which we've had in... More
